This Can't Be Happening

Jimin was woken up by the sound of his crying son. He turned on the lamp next to the bed and got up. He picked Jihyun up and cradled him in his arm and left the room, Jimin couldn't get Jihyun to take a bottle at all since he was born about two months ago, it was like mom or die of starvation, so the baby was still solely breastfed. He took a seat in the recliner in the living room. He gently rocked the chair as Jihyun ate.

"My little lookalike." Jimin cooed at his baby that was staring up at him with Yoongi's eyes. It didn't take long for Jihyun to finish nursing and start dozing off, but he still had to be burped and changed. He fussed the entire time, through the burping and diaper changing up until he was back in his bassinet. About twenty minutes later Yoongi's alarm went off, waking all three males. The raven shut it off angrily and threw his phone on the floor. It bounced and hit the wall loudly scaring Jihyun, causing the infant to begin screaming.

"What the hell, Yoongi?!" Jimin hissed at his husband, getting out of the bed to comfort the baby, cradling him close to his chest. Yoongi wanted to retaliate, but he opted against it as not only did he feel bad for scaring his son but he also he felt downright sick again. When he couldn't take it any more and hurried to the bathroom, swinging the door shut behind him. He was too busy hurling his guts out to notice that Jihyun was no longer screaming or that Jimin had put the baby back in his bed and came into the bathroom.

"Yoongi..." Jimin said softly, crouching down next to his husband who still had his face in the toilet. "I think you should take the test."

"God dammit......" Yoongi cursed and flushed the toilet after wiping his mouth. "......fine, where is it?" Jimin dug through a drawer and pulled out a pregnancy test. Five minutes later Yoongi was chanting the word "fuck" as if that was the only word he knew. He's not the type of person to cry often, but he couldn't help the somewhat-angry tears filling up in his eyes.

"Hey, it's okay, I know we said Jihyun would be the last but..."

"That's not it."

"This baby can still call me 'mommy' like Mina does-"

"No, you don't get it, Jimin!" Yoongi hissed. It was quiet for a moment.

"Then tell me what it is." Jimin spoke calmly. Yoongi finally made eye contact with him. Those dark brown eyes filled with nothing but love, and a hint of sympathy. 'This is why you should never keep anything about you from your significant other' he thought. But this wasn't something that just never came up in conversation.

"I can't carry well, Jimin. The check up all males get when they come of age determined I do have the parts, just they aren't suitable for a growing baby." It was quiet for a long moment. Tears began to trickle down Jimin's cheeks.

"Do......so do you want to...a-abort it?" Yoongi didn't know what to say. Every child with Jimin is a blessing and he loves them more than words can say, but he's trying to be realistic. The likelihood of him carrying to term is only sixteen percent. The thought of him carrying a baby was left in the dust a long time ago, especially since his count started to go down and he had no desire to be pregnant in the first place (which was why it never happened to get brought up).

"I'll go to the doctor and we'll go from there, okay?" Jimin nodded and hugged Yoongi close.

"There is a baby in there. The fetus appears perfectly healthy: No abnormalities. It's about five weeks. We want you to come in every two to three weeks, though, due to the special circumstances. You are fully aware that your have an extremely high rate of miscarrying, right?" Yoongi nodded. "If you have any pain or bleeding at all, come in immediately." Yoongi didn't have much to say. When he got to the studio later that day, he was struggling to focus. He found a hand sometimes resting on his belly. Namjoon and Hoseok noticed his odd behavior, but when they asked about it, Yoongi just brushed it off angrily and said he was going home. Mina was still at school and Jimin was out shopping, Jihyun obviously with him. He laid down in his bed, this time he slipped his hands up his shirt. Every logical part in his mind says he knows he will miscarry, but hope still lingered in his heart, trying to defy the odds and break down the walls faster than he can build them. He knows it's not the baby's fault...his organs for carrying a child just didn't develope right.

The days continued to go by with Yoongi hugging the toilet. He still went to the studio to edit songs, much to Jimin's dismay, but sitting in their home was making him restless and angry. Every hour he was waiting for the pain to start and then the blood, and then no more baby. He wanted the child, granted, he wished he wasn't the one carrying it as he was more of the "father" figure in their relationship and never had any desire to be pregnant in the first place. When he was at home he spent even more time with Mina, cuddling with her on the couch watching a movie while Jimin fed their son. Mina absolutely loved having a little brother and loved to spend a lot of time with him. Naturally, it tore Yoongi apart to not tell his daughter that there was a baby in his tummy, but he didn't want to break her heart when he had to tell her that the baby didn't make it. How do you tell your almost five year old something like that? Everybody was picking up on Yoongi's behavior. He couldn't hide the fact that he was depressed. Sometimes he even somewhat wished the condom didn't break and then he wouldn't have to go through this. It was hard on Jimin too, but Jihyun is still quite needy with his mom which pays for a good distraction for the younger parent.

Yet, it has been over a month since then. The baby is still growing. It's now ten weeks along. Yoongi's belly is starting to jut out of his thinly-built frame. At this moment Jimin and Yoongi are watching the baby move around on the computer screen. He couldn't feel the baby's movements, which he's glad for, it helps reduce the reality of the situation.

"Everything is looking good, and baby is quite active." The nurse smiled. "Ten more weeks and you should be out of the woods!" Yoongi couldn't help but smile. Maybe he actually could do it. Maybe he could have this baby!

But two weeks later, all that hope was shattered quickly. It started at night. A bit of cramping, but it seemed to be normal growing pains. To ease his discomfort the next morning he got in the bath while Jimin dropped Mina off at school. But the pain worsened. He closed his eyes and writhed in the water. He felt something seep out of him. He looked down to find blood clouding the clear water. He didn't know what to do. Jihyun was sleeping in his bassinet while his father was bleeding in the bathtub. Luckily, it wasn't too long before Jimin returned home.

"Jimin!" Yoongi growled, crawling out of the tub. Jimin quickly ran in and threw a towel on Yoongi's body. He helped the older put on sweatpants and a shirt. Jungkook and Taehyung were the only ones who knew of Yoongi's pregnancy outside of the parents that created the baby. When Jimin told the maknae about what was going on, they had no qualms about taking Jihyun for a while even though they knew the infant would probably scream until he passed out.

On the way to the hospital Yoongi was holding his stomach as he began having a panic attack.

"Yoongi, it's okay. It's going to be alright. Breathe. We're almost there." Jimin said as he drove, reassuringly gripping his husband's thigh. Yoongi felt like he couldn't breathe. His head started to hurt when the dizziness started. He passed out before they even pulled up to the emergency room entrance.

So yeah, Yoongi's pregnant. But this is partially for the sake of variety. Enjoy the cliffhanger though.

Also I think I did well on hiding my surprise, I feel like no one expected this. Now time for my explanation. Gay couples usually switch but there are exceptions, some men prefer to top, some prefer top, some prefer to bottom. However, while Jimin is the subbiest sub, Yoongi isn't 100% dominant. In terms of Yoonmin he probably would bottom only like 15% of the time, if Jimin wasn't such a sub, Yoongi would probably bottom more as I feel like he doesn't have much of a preference.
