Amara's POV

I was being locked out of my own mind. Locked out and separated from all the memories I've ever made. I don't even know who my parents are, and hardly any of the doctors. Shawn though, has been telling me everything about me, and him, and the both of us together. But I still don't recognize anything he's saying. I just miss being Amara.

It's been a week since I woke up from the coma, and a few days since Shawn blasted me with all that information. I didn't know anything about that. It was obviously all new, but it was too much to handle. Yet, i still remember everything he told me. Today the doctors are allowing some of my "friends" to visit, as well as family.

Shawn set it up.

He got in contact with everyone and told them it was finally okay for me to meet them. I'm not going to lie, this is huge for me. I have absolutely no idea how it's going to go.

Shawn's POV

A bunch of Amara's friends are going to be at the hospital any minute, so I'm just waiting outside. I need this to go great. Need.

If her "friends" get weirded out and they don't try to help regain her memory, all of it would be for nothing. I've already put too much on her.

Just then, Stephanie, Nicole, and Ian walked in. I got up to greet them.

"Hey guys." I half-smiled. "Hey" They all said blankly. "So, are you ready to me-see Amara?" I stuttered. They're not meeting her. They're seeing her. She's just like the old Amara. They nodded and we walked upstairs in silence. I could sense the tension. All eyes were on me.

When we got to Amara's room, Nicole stopped me from walking in.

"Wait!" She grabbed my shoulders and turned me around. "What." I shrugged. "Tell us what her current state is right now. So we know what to do." She looked down at her feet. They all looked nervous.

"Well, um, she knows who I am, at least from what I've told her, and she knows her letters and numbers." They nodded. "Basically anything that doesn't have to do with memories or people making those memories." I choked out. We walked inside, seeing her reading the same magazine as a few days ago.

Man, I love her.

She looked up from her reading and at thee three individuals standing beside me. "Hey Hun," I walked over to her and took a seat in my chair. I took her hand in mine and started to introduce her to everyone. She looked confused. Obviously she would be confused, but this time it was something different.

"Wait," She let go of my hand and clasped hers together. She kept her eyes on Ian, Nicole, and Steph. She then started talking to me.

"They look familiar." She whispered. I looked at her and back at her "friends". "Really?" I asked. She nodded and picked up her magazine again. I was left in shock.

The three left the hospital a half hour later and I was left with Amara, talking about anything and everything. I told her more about herself and more things that happened between us. She still didn't remember, but I think she just liked hearing it. For closure.

I still couldn't believe what happened this afternoon.

Could she remember this early?
