I sat in my home office, in my actual home, with Riley in my lap. She laid on her stomach, over my legs, sleep while I rocked her carefully back and forth.

Lauren was at school, getting the last of her things before she had to move to another school. Kiara's been staying in Lauren's room but right now she's at work with Lacey. And I recently found out, she's been talking to Craig 😏. And then there's Stephen, who is out training but will be back in about 30 minutes since he has a press conference he wants me and Riley to go with him to. I typed along on my laptop, talking to everyone at the office. Art sales are great and since the Warriors hired me as their personal trainer and physical therapist, I've made enough money to put Lolo in the school of her dreams. Everything is going really well. But.... I know something is gonna happen and it's going to throw me completely. But until then, I'll just sit here and work my butt off. I've opened up two art studios in the past month. One in LA. And one in Virginia. Unfortunately, the one I was going to build in Michigan never got done and I had to sell the lot. But the other ones are bringing in a bunch of money. The more money I have, the less Lauren has to stress when she gets older. I already have her college funds set in place. All I need to do now is work harden enough for her kids to be good.

"Hey baby." Stephen came into the office.

"Oh hey baby. What's up? How was practice?"

"Uh, it was okay. We need to keep working on my knee." He said kissing my cheek.

"Oh okay. You ready to go?" I asked seeing him in a suit.

I was already in a nice dresses and had Riley all dolled up.

He nodded and picked Riley up. I got up and followed him to the car. I locked my door behind me, making sure not to forget Lauren's activity bag and Riley's iPad.

"So what's the conference about?"

"Oh just the regular. The upcoming season, my injury..... Ayesha...... you...." he tried to be slick. But I heard him.

"What about me?"

"I don't know. There's just a possibility." He was straight lying. He wiggled his nose and sniffed. Lies.

"Mhmmm ok."

When we arrived, there was paps everywhere. I held Riley, while Stephen's hand laid in the small of my back. I watched him intently as we walked through the crowd. He checked the time on his phone and mumbled.

"Lauren gets out of school in 2 hours. Please let this only take one."

I felt my heart jump. He's trying to get out in time to pick up Lauren. And Lauren thinks he hates her or doesn't like her. God, too many feelings right now.

"You okay?" He asked me.

"Dell.... please don't let me go out like a bad person in this."

He looked at me for a minute and opened the door for me. We walked in and into a room. Stephen sat in front of the microphone and sat Riley in his lap whilst I sat beside him. Cameras kept flashing and the conference began.

"So Steph, what's going on at home?"

"Can we-" he sighed and looked at me. "It's honestly not any of your business, but Ayesha and I are in the middle of getting a divorce. We are no longer together and we have both moved on."

"Is this the new lady in your life?" A white guy said eyeing me.

"Uh, yea. Can you stop? It's rude. This is my old lady who is my now lady and should've been my forever lady." He smiled.

I laughed, hitting his chest.

"Stephen, are you worried that she might only want you for your money?"

"Let me get this straight right now. I was fine during Stephan. I was fine after and before him. And I'll always make my own money. I don't need Stephan. He's not my provider. I wouldn't die without him. But I want him and I love him. I'm in love with this man. Money was never a factor. Sorry to bust your bubbles."

That's when all the questions came in a rush.

"What's your name?"

"My name is Nona Rose Prescott."

"Scotty Curry." Stephen whispered, putting his hand on my stomach.

I gasped and smacked his hand.

"How do you plan on helping the Warriors this season?"

"I've already healed their star player." I said laughing.

Everyone laughed.

"Riley, how do you feel about everything?"

"Huh?" She said, squinting.

"They said how are you, baby." I said to her.

"I take a L but tonight... I bounce back." She said with a goofy smile.

"Do you like Scotty?" Dell asked.

Riley shook her head no and everyone gasped.

"I love her!" Riley said, falling into my lap. "Mommy, mommy, mommy!"

I smiled and hugged her. She did the thing Dell does when he wins a game and the conference was over.

Dell checked his phone and mumbled. "2:34. Shit."

We rushed out of the place and got in the car, after strapping Riley in. He rushed to put his seatbelt on. Rushed to put the key in. Rushed to put the car in gear. He was fumbling. And it wasn't a good look.

"Baby why are you rushing?" I asked.

"Scotty.... it's um... hard to explain."

"You need to relax your brain. It makes no sense for you to be this hyped up." I scolded.

"I'm sorry. I just... I know what Lolo thinks of me.... and I don't like it.... I love you Nona. She knows that. But she doesn't know that I'm always thinking about her. She has to know that. I'm trying to be there for her like she needs and wants me to be. I want her to be happy." He said, sounding sad.

I stayed quiet. I don't really know what to do about this. I mean I could tell him that she gets sad around Father's Day. Or that her mom won't be here to hold her when she cries.

"Nona!"

I jumped and looked at Stephen.

"Don't look at me like I'm crazy. Say something. You love Lauren. That's your brother's daughter. And because you love her and I love you, I love her too. Just like Riley and I are a package deal, you and Lauren are a package deal."

"Listen Dell. I understand that you want Lauren to know that shes apart of this family. Admittedly she doesn't feel that way... but I'll tell you how to win her over." I said, causing him to look at me with hope as I realized we were getting closer to Lolo's school. "Father's day is coming up. I'll take Riley for a girls' day and you take Lolo somewhere special. I doesn't matter where you take her. Even if you guys are gone for a weekend. Spend some quality time with her, Dell. You'll be the only sign of father she's ever had."

He looked at me and sighed as he parked in the school's parking lot. "Alright... time to get my new little one."

"Oh and Dell-"

"Yea."

"There's a girl in there with blue braids. Her name is Taylor and she bullies Lolo really bad. Do us a solid and make the little bitch jealous." I smirked.

He looked surprised but nodded, jogging into the school.
