PREVIOUS CHAPTER:
Her eyes were closed but her mouth slightly open like she wanted to say something.
"S-siya..s-iya... H-He..." before she could finish her sentence, her hands fell on her side.
PRESENT:
Z. SANDERS
"Call the ambulance!" sigaw ng ilan.
As if slapped by someone, I was taken aback.
"No! You can't die!" I blurted and removed my bagpack.
No, Pia please! Gumising ka!
I straightened my back and put my palm in her chest. It's hardened.
"You can't die...You can't," I repeatedly mumble. Nanginginig na ang aking kamay. I am about to do the CPR when I felt someone holds my shoulder. When I looked up, I saw the cold stares of Aos.
He shook his head. "She's dead."
Umiling din ako. Though there's a surge of hopelessness wrapped within me, I can't give up. "She can't die," I answered, feeling despair.
"Don't do what's on your mind. You're trembling. And I think, you don't even know CPR. She's poisoned Sanders, not drown nor choked. Get yourself together," he ordered. There had been intense emotion in his tone, but wether it was frustration or hopelessness, I could not say.
I clenched my fist because of what's happening. Binitawan ni Aos ang aking balikat. "Let's find the other bomb. The other one is already diffused by the authorities."
"But---"
"Get away!" Before I could finish my sentence, Sir Morris shouted, beside him is Heijie.
"What are they doing?!" I exclaimed when I saw them removing Pia's jacket.
"The officer gave me a note which they found beside the bomb," Heijie said. "I thought it's just a scratch paper, but it wasn't. May nakalagay na date at pi symbol. Then I remembered the day Pia killed her boyfriend and the symbol pi. So I assumed, the second bomb has something to do with Pia," he explained. Tumingin akong muli kay Ms. Dixon.
I was shocked when I saw what's inside her body. May nakasuot sa kanyang bomba. Kaya pala makapal ang jacket niya.
"Jesus!" Heijie exclaimed in fear.
My eyes widened. I almost curse in shock when I saw the timer.
"Lumayo na kayo! There's only 2 minutes left!" one of the officer shouted. "Hindi ako pamilyar sa pasabog na 'to. This is different from the one, we found in the supply room," the other one said. He's still trying to diffuse it. Hanggang sa isang minuto na lang. Nanginginig na rin ang kanyang kamay.
