in the moments between seconds i crave you the most,
it is in these times where i want nothing more than for you to put your lips on mine and use them to paint the words of our love
your fingers like ice on that slumbering morning in june, traced along every curve of my face, while the rest of the world slept peacefully
you were the 'barely there' sunlight that shone through my curtains early mornings of december
you were the best part of my favourite song
your existence written into every line and note, as if the musician knew of my love for you
what haunts me most were our syncopated heartbeats
they terrorise me now in my nightmares when i reflect on the days when we were both happy
and now nothing hurts more than the day your were ripped away from me
no other pair of lips moulds with mine like yours, no other fingertips leave a trail of fire like yours, no song will ever sound the same to me and now the sound of my heartbeat frightens me
come back to me,
i miss you,
sincerely yours,
heartbreak
