the sun's goodbye
one road diverged into two and you took neither
instead you turned around and took every step back home
with heart bleeding and hands shaking you pulled the trigger
your last breath staggered out helplessly, the light from your eyes faded instantly
there was no time for salutations, the bullet whipping through your skull was your form of goodbye
two roads blended into one and you walked that path all the way home, until the sun set behind you
it's warm colours muttering farewell
