Time did not simply fly when I was with you
Time danced through galaxies,
filled the gaps between ex lovers,
brought stories to an end
and started new ones
And when you told me you love me time stood still. Everything I was before you fell away and everything I could have been with you found its place.
But in September you got sick and in that moment I could not wish harder for time to pass slowly.
What once felt like a lifetime with you became the last fleeting grains of sand in an hourglass.
I stand here now choking on the love I want to proclaim to you, but what's holding me back is the fear that one day you won't be here anymore to hear me tell you that, I love you
