after in and out farkle drive me home and insisted on walking me to my door. so we went in the elevator hand in hand until suddenly it stopped. "farkle, i think the elevator just broke," i say worrying. "just press the emergency button and we will be fine riley," farkle says calmly. i press the emergency and then sit down against the far wall from the exit. "what now?" i say. "well we can talk more," farkle says. "i would love that," i say to farkle as i grab his hand again. "so, tell me about what makes riley matthews tick," farkle say looking into my eyes. "what makes me tick, well i love helping people and volunteering. i think that's because i come from such a loving family. i was a bit of a loner before you guys. i had friends but they didn't know me properly, like you guys already do. and i really like this guy named farkle. we were put into the groupchat and then we started going to school together. we instantly clicked farkle and i did and he is hot," i say smiling. "this farkle guy sounds like a catch," farkle says laughing. "yeah and sometimes when i stare at him for long enough i just want to kiss him," i say looking into farkles eyes. "well i know this girl names riley, she is this really pretty brunette. she is perfect whether it be personality or looks. she has it all, we also seemed to click, and like you do with farkle, sometimes i just want to kiss her. whether it be as we are walking around the carnival, top of the ferris wheel, or stuck in an elevator," farkle says smiling. "she sounds nice," i say just before i smash my lips onto farkles. i was sitting beside him but now i found my way onto his lap still making out. i wrap my arms around him and he does the same back at least until i hear someone say, "progressive." i pull away from farkle and see maya standing at the elevator door. "hey," i say getting up from farkles lap. "hey," maya says about to burst into laughter. "what are you doing here maya," farkle asks. "well i was waiting for riley to get home but i was just about to leave because i was tired of waiting," maya says with a cheeky grin on her face. "well i have to go home before my parents start to freak out," farkle says still embarrassed. "bye," i wave to him as he goes down in the now fixed elevator. "so, lucky that was mum not your dad," maya says. "shut up maya," i say as we walk to my apartment. we walk in and i see mom, and dad sitting on the couch. "hey ril-" my dad begins but then looks at me with a weird look. it was then i realised i had lipstick smudged onto my face from making out with farkle. "why is there lipstick smudged around your mouth riley," my dad says slowly. "ooh um, i wiped my mouth with a napkin at in and out must have smudged it," i say walking towards the hallway but then i hear. "do you take me for an idiot riley," my dad says pointing to a chair for me to sit and talk to them. "no but i was hoping, wait in my room maya," i say.
"okay, question one, where were you tonight," my dad asks as if i was a suspect for a murder. "i was at the carnival, then i went to in an out, then here," i say quickly. "question two, who with, and don't you dare say maya because she was waiting for you in here," my dad says. "farkle," i say quickly. "who?" my dad says. "farkle," i say clearer. "the new kid, did you know him before today," he asks. "yes," i say. "that's a bit better," dad says. "okay riley you can go," my mom says trying to get dad to stop. "few more things, was it a date, was there alcohol, and was there drugs?" he says. "yes it was a date and no alcohol or drugs," i say getting up and going to my room.
when i get to my room i see maya in pyjamas and laying in my bed. "sleepover?" i ask. "yep, now spill," maya says. i explain it to her and then i post something on instagram and so do a few people.
