22 darkness

rileys pov.

rilesm: wait who
lfriar: it was charlie gardener. imma talk to him and see if he remembers
rilesm: oh um okay. just don't tell farkle at all costs

i put my phone in my pocket and go sit on my bad and lean against the headboard. i stare at the wall across from me. i felt empty almost.

farkle walks into the room and he says , "you for don't look ready for school."
"i'm not going, i don't feel well," i say frowning.
"oh i hope you feel better," farkle says as he walks over and kisses me.
"are you going now," i ask.
"yeah, izzy and i are going to walk together," he says.
"hey you can borrow my car," i say reaching for the keys that were on my nightstand.
"thanks," farkle says as i throw them to him.
"see you tomorrow," i say.
"i'm coming after school," farkle says leaving the room.

i sat in that position for another 20 minutes. at this point i knew mom and dad had left and taken auggie to school.

now i was alone.

i got up went to my bay window. i locked it. i went to every entrance and locks it. since last night i've been really anxious.

i walk to the kitchen and grab a glass of water. i sip on my water and walk to couch. i sit down and i just cry.

i had cried for hours, every now and then refilling my glass so i didn't get too dehydrated. then suddenly my phone vibrated. i looked down at it and was from the groupchat.

mayahunter: what are we doing today
farkleym: can't do anything. going to check in pluto after school
zayb: izzy and i are going on a date soz
izzys: yeah sorry
mayahunter: lucas?
lfriar: baseball tryouts for next year
farkleym: you can join me if you want
mayahunter: i will
izzys: speaking of riley is she okay ??
farkleym: said she felt sick this morning
izzys: how is she now?
zayb: how would we know izzy
rilesm: i'm okay
zayb: oh lol she's in this gc
farkleym: leaving school now
mayahunter: see you soon honey
rilesm: see you soon peaches

i tried to stop crying but i couldn't. so i just went to my room and sat on the floor near my bay window and put my knees to my chest and my head on my knees.

suddenly i hear my bay window being unlocked and farkle and maya came in.
"oh my gosh honey what happened," maya says as soon as she sees me.
"pluto, what happened," farkle says wrapping his arms around.
i even can't bring myself to speak. i just sit there crying.

mayas pov.

she won't even speak then it hits me i vaguely remember lucas dragging me out of the party and when we get in the car riley is silent. she looked like she saw a ghost.

i whip out my phone and text lucas.

mayahunter: what happened at the party. i need to know
lfriar: she told me i can't tell anyone
mayahunter: who in particular does she not want to know
lfriar: farkle
mayahunter: i won't tell farkle but tell me i need to know
lfriar: she almost got raped at the party by charlie gardener. i talks to charlie today about. he feels terrible and doesn't even remember
mayahunter: that horrible but thanks for saying 💕💕 love you
lfriar: ilyt but i have to trial bout to start

i put down my phone and i say, "farkle can you grab snacks."
"why," he asks.
"snacks now," i snap.
"alright," he says raising his hand a defensively.
when he is gone i go to riley and say, "lucas told me everything, i won't tell farkle but come here honey."
at this riley raises her head revealing her puffy red cheeks and bloodshot eyes. she wraps her arms around me and cries on my shoulder. we were sitting there for a few minutes waiting for farkle. when he came in he had a bunch of food in his arms.
"thanks," i say.
"hey you got her to move, any words yet," farkle says.
i shake my head.

i had been sitting here for at least n hour until i heard the front door open. at this i said to farkle, "hey can you hug her fro a while my leg is dead."
"sure," he says getting closer to riley.
riley feels me leave nad immediately wraps her arms around the closest thing, which was farkle.

i get up quietly and go to the living room where i see topanga with auggie at the dining table talking.
"where's matthews," i say.
"meeting for work until 6," topanga says.
"hey auggie can i talk to your mom alone," i say with a hopeful look on my face.
"yeah, i'll go to my room and do my homework," he says smiling widely.
"what's up maya," she says looking at me.
"it's riley, she's in her room crying," i say biting my lip.
"why, what happened," topanga says with concern.
"so at the party last night a guy almost rape her. from what i heard lucas and zay dragged the guy away from her," i begin. "by the looks of it she has been crying all day. she won't talk or eat. i brought her a lot of her favourite snacks and she hasn't even touched them. anyway she's crying on farkles shoulder but she doesn't want him to know."
"wow okay. i'm going in to try and talk to her," topanga says standing up.
she walks to riley room and i follow. she kneels down next to riley and say to farkle, "can i have her now."
farkle simply nods and frees himself from the hug and stands next to me.
"i think we should leave them to alone," i say to farkle.
"okay," farkle says and walks to the kitchen table with me.

rileys pov.

i have my arms wrapped around my mom and she says, "maya told me what happened. can you talk to me."

i lift my head slightly and manage to say , "he pushed me against a wall and starts to kiss me. he puts he hands on my boobs then he got to my waist then lucas's and zay came."
"awh come here darling," my mom says pulling my into another hug.

we sit there for a good ten minutes utilities she says , "honey i have to work on something but your amazing friends will be her okay."
i nod and when she leaves i take deep breaths and try to calm down.

so by the time farkle and maya are back i'm not crying. as much.
