In The Distance - Fallacy x Encre (Book One)

Chapter 13 - Panic

I wake up feeling pain all over.  I open my eyes slowly.  I see only sun in my eyes.  I close them again and roll over onto my back.  My wrists and neck burn, but I do not show I am hurt.  The room is silent as I sit up slowly.  It is Paint's room I am in.  'Was... That all... Just a dream?'  I think.  I shake my head before standing up slowly.  I change into my normal daily attire due to it being set beside the bed.  I fold my night clothes and make my bed calmly.  I go over to the window and just gaze out it.  I feel nothing, like how I woke up after being bitten by Lord Fallacy. The castle is silent as I stare at the trees and the orange and pink sky, through the window.  I then walk from my window and towards the door.  I open the door and enter the hall, closing the door behind me. It is dark in the hall.  I walk around the dark halls.  "Brother?  How are you walking around?"  I hear from behind me.  Paint is looking up at me.  "I am using my legs."  I say smartly.  Paint groans. "You and your logic... Oh... Brother, your night vision is on."  Paint says.  My eyes switch, but the colour is gone, and there is only white.   Paint frowns but then hugs me.  I pick him up easily.  I see the sun rising through a window.  "Let me tuck you in."  I say gently.  He nods before yawning.  I carry him to his room.

I am heading towards the staircase when I hear "Lord Fallacy will probably be out for a few more days... I have no clue how long Lord Encre will be out."  I reach the top of the steps silently.   I start to walk down the steps.  I see Lord Night, and Lord Dream speaking with a group of maids and a few butlers.  "You have a clue now." I say blankly.  They all look towards me.  My posture is perfect and I am standing calmly.  "Lord Encre..."  Gazelle says.  I walk towards the group.  "How long was I asleep?"  I ask.  "Only for a day and a half, Lord Encre."  Gazelle says.  I nod.  "Gazelle, if Lord Fallacy awakes before I arrive, just alert him that I am out."  I say calmly.   "Of course, Lord... Encre."  Gazelle says.  I nod before taking my leave out the main doors.  

Time skip...

I arrive back at the castle only hours later, it is the early evening.  I have attire that fits me on.  It is more fancy than my regular attire but not extremely fancy.  I would not go to a ball in it.  I enter the castle calmly.  "Lord Encre, great to see you up and moving around!"  A maid says.  I nod towards her smiling gently. I walk around hearing chatter.  "To think Lord Encre, would wake up before Fallacy.  It is shocking due to the state he was in previously."  I hear from the main hall.  "Yeah... Encre looked horrible."  I hear Paint say.  I enter the main hall.  "I guess you could say I was... Drained."  I laugh gently.  They all jump.  "How you sneak up on us like that is beyond me."  Lord Dream says.  "I learned a few things when I was trapped in a different universe."  I state.  I walk towards them my steps silent.  "Are you floating?" Paint asks.  "Stealth, so I would not draw attention to myself."  I state blankly.  "Brother... Are you not feeling well?"  Paint asks staring into my eyes.  He has an angered, but worried expression across his face. "I feel fine, Paint."  I answer before going past them.  I go into the library.   Paint chases after me.   He grabs me from behind.   I pick him up and carry him with me.  "I shall read you a book."  I say setting him on my lap as I sit on a chair.  I pull a children's book off of a nearby shelf.  Paint looks excited.  I open the book and start to read to him, like how I did when we were younger.  He is laughing and giggling.   I smile and keep reading.   

Time skip, A Few Days Later...

He is running around outside while I walk around the garden.  I look extremely mature, having forced myself to grow up and to stop being childish.  "Lord Encre!!!"  I hear.  It is Lord Dream.  "Lord Fallacy is panicking and is searching for you."  He says breathing hard.  I nod.  "Keep an eye on my brother for me."  I state calmly.  "Uh... Sure."  Lord Dream says.   I enter the castle moments later. The maids and butlers are on edge.  I hear shouting.   I go into the main hall and see Lord Night and Lord Fallacy.  My face and eyes are blank.  I sneak up on them and pull them apart.  "Fallacy... What is with you?"  Lord Night says.  "Encre..."  Lord Fallacy says looking right at me. "Glad to see you awake, Lord Fallacy."  I stare blankly.  Lord Fallacy stands and goes to do something.  "Lord Fallacy, a few moments ago... You were acting, extremely childish... Is there something the matter?"  I ask blankly.  Lord Fallacy looks pissed off, but his expression changes when his eyes meet mine.   "What happened?"  He asks.  I raise a brow.   "My eyes should return to normal, at any point from now or within a few months."  I state calmly.  He looks extremely pissed off again.  I smirk before Lord Dream walks in.  "Lord Encre, Sir Papyrus has come to see you."  Gazelle says coming in as well.  "I hope both your days go well."   I say before taking my leave.  "He definitely is not a kid."  Lord Night laughs.  

Time skip...

My eyes are red at the moment, due to me being angered.  Papyrus is kicking my ass.  We are training together as usual.  Lord Night and Lord Dream are watching us. I get behind him and grab him.  I flip him over me and drop him down.  My eyes stop being red and look normal.  Papyrus is attacking me quickly again.  I jump up and backwards avoiding being kicked.  He then moves towards me.  I jump and kick him.   He stumbles backwards and is grabbing his chest.  I land silently then run at him.  I then skid under him kick him from behind.  I send him into the ground.  He just lays there for a few moments.  "Ouch..."  I hear Papyrus groan.  He sits up and I reach a hand towards him.  He grabs my hand then he smirks.  He throws me over him.  I manage to get my legs around his neck and throw him over me instead.  My hands land on the ground before I do a small push up to bring myself down.  I turn and a few beads of sweat fly from my forehead. Papyrus stands and says "That should be good for today, we will increase it to your level, next time."   I nod.   He picks me up hugging me. I feel like I am being crushed.  He then sets me down.  "Maybe I'll come pick you up later this week."  Papyrus says.  I sigh.  "That would be lovely Papyrus." I say gently.  He kisses the top of my head.  I sweat drop hard.  Papyrus laughs. He then takes off.  I then stretch out my back slightly.   "Lord Encre, that was interesting."  I hear.  I am loosening the collar to my collar shirt as I turn to face them.  Lord Dream is blushing.  "That was... Amazing."  He says.  They come towards me.  Paint comes from the gardens.  "Encre!!! Can you teach me how to do that?"  Paint asks.  "How to fight?"  I ask.  He nods.  "Of course, maybe tomorrow, though."  I say smiling gently.  I pick up Papyrus' house keys.  A portal opens.  Papyrus is blushing.  I throw them at him knocking him through the portal.  It closes and my face is slowly loosing emotion.  My eyes are dotted with white.  "Now it explains how you are a lot more relaxed."  Lord Dream sighs.  "You are different now."  Paint groans.   I lean down to Paint.  "Meet me in the gardens later..."  I whisper.  Paint nods. "Now run off." I say kissing him on the forehead.  I then watch as he runs over to a maid and pulls them along with him.
