In The Distance - Fallacy x Encre (Book One)

Chapter 26 - Arrival

I am sitting beside Leocade as the carriage goes along towards Lord Furry's castle. We hit a bump suddenly startling me. Leocade laughs softly. "It is a long trip... Why don't you sleep?" Leocade says gently to me. I feel nervous, but nod. He pulls me into him and I fall asleep.

Time skip...

I wake up to laughter. "Look, Lord Leocade and Lord Encre have arrived!!!" I hear. I sit up hearing my back crack. Leocade smiles down at me. "Do you feel better?" He asks me. I nod. He then pulls my black robe from a place kept for it. He helps me slip it on. Leocade likes keeping me covered due to his jealousy of others. I have always found it cute. He uses the separate piece to cover my face. The door than opens and Jean helps me down. Leocade comes over to me and takes my hand. I nod towards Jean, before he bows. "Have a good time my Lords." He says respectfully. I nod, keeping my voice silent. The carriage pulls away, leaving Lords and Ladies staring at us. Leocade walks with me promptly. My eyes are glowing green like most rouges do when hungered, but mine are glowing due to me not being able to see in the dark. "Lord Leocade and... I believe Lord Encre?" A Lady says coming up to us. I nod respectfully. She frowns. "Lord Encre, did something happen?" She asks. "No one will see him till the ball." Leocade says bluntly. The lady just nods looking me in the eyes. Moonlight is shining on half my face, so I only have one glowing eye and the other is a yellow star. She looks confused. Another carriage pulls up. Suddenly Leocade pulls me closer to him. It is Fallacy's carriage. "It is his highness..." Many people mutter. Leocade is holding onto me tightly while I stand proud, showing no fear of him like the others. That woman I saw is wearing a dress and looks extremely pretty. Leocade is watching me closely watching my reaction. Fallacy helps out the woman. Suave and Elizabeth are standing to the side. Suave knows it is me right away. He looks cautiously towards Fallacy and Leocade. "Leocade... May I go over to Suave?" I ask softly. Leocade thinks for a few moments. He then nods letting go of me. I walk over to Suave gracefully. He bows seeing me. I stop in front of him my hands in front of me calmly. "Lord Encre..." Suave says. "It has been awhile Suave." I say smiling gently. "It has been, Lord Encre." He says. "Who is this?" I ask looking over at the girl beside him. "This is Gazelle's daughter... Elizabeth." Suave says. I nod respectfully. "Gazelle was a good friend of mine." I say gently. She looks upset. "She would be happy knowing you are working with Suave." I add on smiling through my eyes. She is blushing. "Encre." I hear Leocade say sharply. I turn to see him looking at me. "I am coming." I say softly. "It was nice speaking with the both of you." I say gently before taking my leave. Leocade has his arm extended to me. "Lust..." I mutter before taking another step towards him. "And love." He says. I nod before linking arms with Leocade. Lord Furry comes over to us first. "Lords Encre and Leocade... I am glad to see you both here... As requested I have two guards to watch Lord Encre." Lord Furry says calmly. I stand calmly beside Leocade not moving an inch due to self training. "Thank you, Furry." Leocade says. "Anything for a close friend." Lord Furry says. "Lord Encre... How has your health been?" Lord Furry asks. I look up at Leocade and he nods. "My health has been worse, but I am still ill, sadly." I say respectfully. "I do hope your condition improves greatly, Lord Encre." Furry says calmly. I nod.

Time skip...

I am looking into a mirror calmly. I am wearing a long black lace dress that covers most of my body. It is made for dancing more than a waltz. Leocade comes in wearing his attire for this evening. He smiles at me and I smile back.
