I just came off to get Lee from school,we heading to my mama to get Cory and probably chill for a while,LEE been so silent since Bree isn't around " ay lil man, what you thinking about over there?" I asked him As we got inside, he shrugged, I shook my head. I looked around for my mom to find her outside with Alexa and Cory. " what's up " I greeted.

" I know you are not talking to me in that manner" mama said

" yeah me too" Alexa said smirking

" how are you beautiful woman doing then?" I asked, we talked, Lee said hello to Alexa today, its a progress "why are you here this early?" I asked her

" I have this college party to go to so my mom promised to look after the boys since Bree is with connel till next week" she said, making me nod. " and I kinda would like you to come with me if you don't mind" she asked shyly.

" aight, let me go get ready while you get then kids ready to go" I told her.she nodded...in no time we were on our way to her mama's house, we dropped them off then I drove us to this college stuff " what's this case about that yal have to go to college parties " I asked her since the car ride is so silent.

" some is about to go down at the party and -sorry gotta get this it's mike " she said, I nodded, she answered " hey sugar you already at that college? - uh why not? I thought Joe said we gotta go together- what accident?- where did this hit and run stuff happen?-oh okay I'm on my way,are you there?-okay see you just now" she said then hang up

She sighed" problems? " I asked,she nodded" we gotta go to 5th Avenue str...there's been a very rough accident there last night around this time, two people a man a his child I'm guessing were rushed down to the hospital -i don't know much but we no longer going to the party coz we gotta get to this scene " she said

" aight" I made a U-turn to go back to this scene place " you look stressed what's up?" I asked still focusing on the road.

" Connel and I decided to get a divorce" she says,making me smile inside " I'm worried that he aint gon be in Bree 's life like he says he will" she says lowly

" Alexa, you gotta give him some credit aight- just have an open mind" I told her, im happy AF inside. She nodded." damn this car is a wreck" I mumbled, as we pulled up to the scene.it didn't even have a number plate on,its front is no more...these people are lucky.

"You coming out or what?" Alexa asked, I nodded,then got out the car, we walked to the scenes" mark, you know Hakeem right? " she introduced us, I already know this person,we shook hands" alright, brief me up" she told Mark.

" I don't know who the victims are in this case, I just got here, but the man got shot front behind,he was with a lil girl, we still ain't sure what happened to the girl but she also was rushed to-"Alexa shushed him

She rushed over to the car side where she was checking for something,she gasped out loud holding some shoe" this is Bree's shoe- Mark where did they take them?which hospital? " she asked in a panicked tone...Mark told her " aight Hakeem mind taking me to DTP?" she asked

" you didn't have to ask -lets go" I said and we rushed to the hospital....when we got there we rushed to the reception,she asked where she could find the people that came last night,they didn't help her" ay ay,you heard what she said,a little girl and a guy were rushed down here last night, which room can we get them/what floor?" I asked sternly coz Alexa was losing it, the lady told us where to go.

We got there in a flash, waited " what if they don't make it? - I knew some was up when connel didn't answer his phone Hakeem I can't lose my child " she cried, as I hugged her ttightly...time passed then the guy I thought i'll never see ever in my life time showed up,he looked me up and down as Alexa ran into his arms,but still looked at me weirdly
