CHAPTER8

I arrived at home at 8 in the morning. I got to have an hour nap, before I had to wake up for the day. I wrapped my arm in a bandage. I had to meet Aislynn to go back to her territory, to go to the Council. All I knew was they were a horrible government system that I stayed away all these years. I told my mom that I was going to Aislynn's, of course she asked why, I live 30 mins away from her in the city. I told her that we were meeting half way to hang out. She was a little worried but she let me go as long as I come home before dark. I nodded yes and left.

I was running in wolf form till I heard Aislynn's amazing howl, I tried to return the howl but I knew I couldn't top her. So I put it in high gear. It didn't help that I'm short and there was a lot of snow to run through. The pain in my leg started to hurt, but I need to catch up to Aislynn. When I finally saw her, I went even faster than I ever did. When I came to a halt, I looked in her sky-blue eyes. She was shocked to see me running in my wolf form. I could tell through her body language. She turn into her taller, blonde, wolf self.

"Jazz, we should go in human form. That way if we need to attack anyone we can scare them off by turning wolf," she gave smirk to her plan.

"That's a good idea," I exclaim when trying to catch my breath. I saw her into her human form with grace, it was proven that she has been doing this her whole life. I stood on my painful hind legs, and transform. Then we started to walk to our destination.

We were in silence for long time. I was about to break the suffice, when Aislynn beat me to it.

"Who wrapped your arm?" She pointed to my right arm that I had done poorly job bandaging it.

"I did. I couldn't let my mom find out I was almost killed last night," that's my best answer, that I got. I looked at her, seeing that she was nodding that see understand my mom.

"Duh, sorry. I should have known," she admitted while looking at the ground, she must feel bad, about asking. When ever I didn't mind something, I instantly shrug my shoulders.

"Aislynn...thank you, for saving me back there. That black monster could have killed me, and you just went and picked me up..." before I could finish my sentence, Aislynn started to hug me. I returned the the best that I could.

"I would do anything for you, Jazz. You are my best friend, and nothing can change that," she said in a nice quite voice. I was amazed that I didn't start bawling my eyes out. I gave her the best smile I could gave while trying to hold back the tears. She start to move on ahead, turning into the blond wolf that saved me, to jump over a big rushing river. I transform into dark brown color, and jumped the river. The pain left when I was in mid air, but it had to come back when I landed on the other side. We both turn back and kept walking. After, a long time of just walking, and dead silence, I spoke what was on my mind.

"Can we please make this quick and just draw our wolf forms? It would be so helpful!" 'And quick!' Aislynn nodded yes. She jumped up and she was completely transformed when she hit the ground. I gave a smirk, saying that I'm going to try to top that. So, I got a running start and jumped, did a barrel roll, and landed on all fours. There was a couple of spinning sparkles from my transformation. Aislynn's mouth dropped, I giggled. Than she laughed.

"Wanna race?!" I thought of the pain in my body, but I never got to spend this much time with her, I nodded yes.

"Ready," I said in a firm voice.

"Set," she copied my technique.

"GO!" We said at the same time. We both dashed and the race was on.

We got to her packs territory in mere minutes. She won of course, but I put a up a good fight. When we enter the boarders, we changed again. Everyone was in there human state. Cheyenne was there and so was Kole! All I knew was Kameron wasn't there and he's the leader of this pack. My thoughts were interrupted by Cheyenne.

"You made it!" She was happy to see us. I gave a little smile, while I looked around.

"Hey, where's Kameron?" I asked as politely as I could. Aislynn did something, but I don't know what she did.

"Hey, guys," Kameron said while running to us.

"Speak of the Devil!" Kole laughed. Cheyenne and Aislynn laughed at his comment. I laughed to, only because he didn't know the devil as much as I do.

"Can we get going? I'm getting cold." Complained the only one in their wolf mode.

"Are you a baby?" Aislynn commented sarcastically. The wolf turned into...Richard! 'Richard is a werewolf! Oh, great! And he is part of Kameron's pack! What a thill! He is a boomerang! I rejected him at the Valentine Dance, in sixth grade, and he keeps coming back. Thinking he has a better chance than the last. Ugh!'

"God Dang it! My pants are wet!" He barked. I wanted to punch him in the mouth. I never liked people coursing. It was wrong to me.

Aislynn went over and smacked him in the but, "Shut. Your. Mouth!" She growled. I started to do my giggle, everyone thought it sounded like a guinea pig, and they also thought it was cute.

"I exiled everyone, but you four," he gave a long pause. It drove me insane. I wanted to say get on with it. "Or five, miss Jasmine. Will join this pack?" He said in a nice polite voice. I stood there frozen. 'I never been a pack. I was always a lone wolf. Had the freedom to do what I wanna do. Got to have friends with anyone. Vampires, fairies, mermaids, and many more. They never saw me as a threat, because I was a runt and alone. But if I join I might lose all of relations, and trust I created. But I do need the protection. What do I do!' Then I looked at Aislynn, remembering why I was still here, and not pack food. I looked backed at Kameron.

"If it means protection, then yes. I may leave, if things get out of hand," I stated, hoping I wasn't being to pushy. Kameron nodded his head excepting my request.

"We should head to the Council now," he concluded from earlier.
