CHAPTER 17
My mom gave me a long scolding about how it's not safe to be out at these hours. I was shocked that she didn't bring up that I'm a werewolf, like at all! After the long guilty scolding, she sent me in my room. I whispered under my breath, "Only if you knew." I closed my door right behind me, but before it fully closed, I saw my step dad and brother all sweaty, with blood coming from their mouths.
"So how the hunt guys?" My mom question them.
"Well, we had to fight a couple of weres for our meal, but we won." Stoney stated.
"How's our were?" My brother, Tyler, asked.
"Oh, in her room. And didn't I tell you to keep your voice down when she's here," my mom started to whisper.
"Sorry. Oh, Stoney got you some food as well." Stoney started to walk up to mom.
"Here. Sorry, you had to miss the hunt. I knew that's your favorite part," he said while giving her a squirrel.
"It's all right. I knew I would be giving up on a couple of things when I adopted her." With that I finished closing my door, and locked it.
"It's true!" I whispered to myself. "I'm not a real part of this family of vampires," with that I grabbed the stuff I needed most and put it in a old book bag I had, and left through my window, never to be seen again by this family.
-------------------------1 night later-----
I woke up to my phone alarm going off. Once I turned it off, I was on the road again. I just needed to leave it all away. I wasn't going back to school. I wasn't going back to the packs. Just keep moving forward. After running a couple of hours, I got a phone call. I turned into human, to see who it was from. To my shock it was Aislynn. I answered as fast as I could. "Hello."
"JAZZ! IS THAT YOU! ARE YOU OKAY?!" She was screaming into the phone.
"Yeah, I'm okay. Why?"
"Why weren't you at school?!"
"Oh...sorry, I probably should explain. Please don't be mad if I do though." After I finished my line, she had no response. "Well, I decided to runaway. I can't handle it anymore," I started to sob. I was trying holding all the tears back, but I wasn't strong enough. "I'm sorry! I shouldn't be running from my problems, but I just found out I'm adopted, and I killed my only family. My whole life, as I know it is a lie!" I stopped a long time. All you could hear was me sobbing and Aislynn trying to think of something to say. "Sorry if I'm causing you misery and pain. I just... don't know who I am any more..."
"JASMINE! STOP! Please stop!" I can hear Aislynn started to cry as well on the other side. "Just come home. Don't do this to your self."
"Aislynn, I'm sorry...but I can't. I have no home. I destroyed my family, and caused to much pain to all of you. I would ask for you to come with me, but you have a life over there, a loving pack, loving boyfriend, and mine...is gone. I don't want to ruin our friendship. So this might be the last time," I couldn't bear to say the last words. My throat filled with tears. "I'm sorry," and then I clicked the button.

Okay, sorry for the really sad, and short chapter. Just to let you know, most of this book is fiction, so I'm not a really depressed girl in real life. So I hope you like the book so far. See you in the next chapter.
