CHAPTER20

Once I put her on my back a gave a weak huff, then Aislynn rolled off me. She started to walk ahead. I knew she was insisting for her to walk by her self, but I knew her wounds wouldn't heal that fast. "Are you sure?" Slipped from my mouth.

Aislynn gave a weak nod. "I don't want you to be in pain. I can walk...I think," she tried to take a step forward. I lowered my head showing some respect with her choice, even though she was that heavy. I am still worried about her. Baby or not, she was badly injured, and I felt responsible. She tried to take another step, but her body is fidgeting with every move she takes. Then she looks at me with a weak smile. I know that it wasn't real, I did way better before Aislynn knew what I was.

"Aislynn, I think I should carry you," I spoke in a quite voice so I wouldn't offend her. She shook her head.

"Come on. We are wasting precious day light!" She said trying to change the subject. 'Hey that's what I do to change the subject' I shook the thought out of my head. We are running out of day light, and we needed to keep moving. I walked up to her side.

"Alright, Caption Aislynn," I said a little shaky. She have a smile to me, then started to walk. She was acting even more shaky then my voice was. Once I saw a tear roll down her cheek, I went under her and her on top of me. "Ma'am, at the pace you were leading us at, we were going to be beaten by a slug," I gave a little humor to lighten her mood. I heard her give a sigh, then a whipper, than a...

"Argh..." I flatten my ears, 'Am I cause of this pain?'

"Are you alright?" I managed to slip those words out.

"Sure...Let me get positioned," she started to shift. It felt like she was going to fall, but if she was conferrable, then who am I to judge. "That's better," it sounded like a lie, but I wasn't going to question it.

"We're on our way!" I giggled.

After sometime, I herd a light snore come from behind me. I gave a light giggle. I started to sing a lullaby,

"Sparkling angel,

I believe.

I was your savior

In your time of need.

Blinded by faith

I couldn't hear

All the whispers,

The warning so clear.

I see the angels,

I'll lead them to your door.

There's no escape now,

No mercy, no more.

No remorse

'Cause I still remember

The smile when I tore you apart.

You took my heart,

Deceived me right from the start.

You showed me dreams,

I wish they'd turn into real.

You broke a promise and made me realize,

It was all just a lie.

Sparkling angel,

I couldn't see,

My dark intentions,

Your feelings for me..."

That's all I knew of the lullaby I taught myself years ago. I kept walking until I got to the gates of Fairy Meadow. Knocked on the big door.

"Who is it?"

"It's Jasmine. Jazz ze Savor." With that the doors automatically opened.

"Jazz, what brings you here?" Erica, an old fairy friend I had when I was younger, asked. I turned around to show her my badly injured, sleeping, friend. "Say no more. We got this. Go ahead and do whatever."

"Thanks! I knew I could trust you guys!" With that I walked around town, as a human, saying "hi" to a couple old friends I had. After a while, I went to the garden. I loved the everlasting warmth and smell. I laid down on a concrete stole, and took a very peaceful long nap.
