I got a few votes on my last chapter which was an authors note asking if people still wanted these and some do but not enough to continue. I'm still debating whether to complete this series or keep going, but for now here's a little something smol and cute for y'all <3

Carol walked on what she assumed was a path until her foot hit the step of the houses porch.

The held onto the railing and walked up, moving her stick around until it hit the door. She stood up straighter and knocked.

After a few seconds of just the wind brushing by, the door swung open.

Carol smiled. "Hello, I'm Carol. I'm now your neighbour."

Carol didn't know if the woman, man, boy, or girl was glad to meet their new neighbour, or even happy to be moved in.

How could she? She was blind after all.

"Oh... uh. Hello."

Carols heart did a slight flip at the sound of the deep rusty voice. She smiled a bit, grabbing her stick with both hands.

"Sorry to disturb you, just thought I would introduce myself. Welcome you to your new street." She hoped he would be smiling now or at least giving her a chance.

She heard the wood on the porch creek as he stepped outside. "Oh, well thanks. You really shouldn't have, I would of made my way to you myself once I was all settled in."

He let out a slight laugh that made Carols heart melt.

"Well it was no trouble, I can navigate my way around," she nodded. "But I can't read minds so, your name?"

She held out her hand and a firm grip clasped around it.

"Daryl, last name Dixon."

"Carol Peletier." Their hands shook then slipped away from each other. "Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too, Carol." He said warmly. The sound of her name rolling of his lips made her heart skip a beat and grip her stick tighter.

"You too." She smiled, then cursed herself for not being able to see the face of the beautiful warm voice in front of her. They stood in a awkward silence until Carol sighed and reached out, her hand making contact with hard, toned muscles, which made her jolt her hand back.

"Oh, my goodness! I'm sorry!" She giggled.

"What?" He asked confused, completely unfazed.

Carol breathed out a laugh and rubbed her forehead. "I'm sorry, I was reaching for your face to get an idea of your features but grabbed your arm?"

He laughed a bit too. "Yeah, you did but I didn't mind, I understand," Carol went to apologise again but stopped when she felt his large warm hand grab hers and place it on his cheek. "Is that what you were looking for?" His voice was more gentle now, and closer too.

Carols breath hitched slightly and so slowly moved her fingers across his face, trying to gather an imagine in her mind. Her fingers moved towards his lips, stopping for a moment then studying them and more of him. She smiled slightly.

"I can see you now." Her hand moved down his neck to his hard chest. She laugh lightly. "You're very handsome."

She felt his breath on her face as he laughed lightly through his nose.

"I'm staring at you," he spoke, while she left her hand on his heart beat. "You're very beautiful."

She stopped, went still. Her mind now racing and her stomach doing flips while her heart was beating through her chest. This was her neighbour, her new neighbour to be exact.

She was being ridiculous, she just met this man, this gorgeous, sweet, tall, warm man who could have a girlfriend, or a wife. Carol breathed out a laugh and removed her hand.

"Thank you." She said, stepping back. "I should be going now."

"But," he gathered himself. "Wouldn't you want to come in?"

She held her stick tightly and turned around, navigating down the porch steps. "No, no thank you I can't sadly. I... I have to go... sort stuff."

She began to reach for the railing until she felt his hands on her waist, helping her down the stairs.

"Well... do you need help getting to your house? I can walk you." He said sweetly as they reached the bottom.

She shook her head. "I know my way around remember?"

He nodded, "I remember." He smiled even though she wouldn't see it.

"Okay. Well, I gotta go. It was nice meeting you Daryl. It really was."

"It was nice to meet you too, come by any time, and I'll come see you?"

She smiled and he loved it already.

"I would love that, goodbye Daryl." She waved to him and walked her way to her home.

He smiled at her, "Bye."
