Four - Kissed Ya 'Cause I Love Ya.

Rick looked at them all waiting for an answer. Daryl looked down, then suddenly hearing a twig snap making him quickly lift his head and turn around. He thought he would be staring down a walker or someone from Terminus but no, he was far from what he thought. Right there, in front of him only a couple of meters away was the one person he had been dying to see again since he can remember. Carol, she staggered towards them, holding his crossbow and looking tired and empty. He jumped slight and pushed off the tree he was leaning against and sprinted to her, capturing her in his arms and holding her tight.

She dropped everything in her hands and hugged him back tightly, smiling widely, her laugh being slightly muffled by his shoulder. Daryl smiled in the crook of her neck, holding her tightly and ran his fingers in her short hair. He gave her another squeeze and lifted her off the ground before they pulled away from one another, Carol noticing the tears now flowing down his face, she hadn't even noticed her tears going down her cheeks. She looked up at him, not being able to keep her smile off her face, while he looked down at her with sobs like she was an angle that had fallen from heaven.

He was completely shocked and over come with joy and didn't know how else to express his feelings to her from how he was feeling. He sobbed and bent his head down and put it on her shoulder, getting her scent again. She cupped his face and leaned her head against his. He lifted his head up and quickly kissed her on the lips. Her eyes widened but she kissed back, neither of them caring about Rick and the others watching.

The kiss was wet and slobbery from there tears but full of emotion and love. Daryl loved Carol, he always have, he was just so blind and never realised it until now. He broke the kiss and wrapped his arms around her again. Rick and the other started to walk over, smiled twitching on their lips. Daryl pulled away and gave her a half smile and moved aside for Rick to hug her. Rick moved towards her, unable to get his words out.

"Did... did you do that?" Rick asked. Carol sucked her lips in and nodded slightly, more tears starting to form. Rick pulled her into a tight hug and shut his eyes. "Thank you..." He whispered to her. Carol pulled away and held his hands.

"You have to come with me."

They all walked up the dusty road track, Carol leading them all to the wooden old shack. Tyreese walked out the shack with Judith in his arms, walking to them. Rick gasped and dropped everything and ran to him and gently took Judith into his arms. He held her and cried full of tears, Carl's mouth gaped as he stroked his little sisters blond hair. Carol smiled and Daryl stood next to her. Moments later they kept moving, Judith cradling in her fathers arms. Carol went to follow the group but Daryl grabbed her wrist.

"Wait," He waited until the group was a little ahead. Carol stared at him, waiting for him to speak. He slowly brought his eyes to hers, dragging them across the floor, up to hers. "I... I missed you, Carol." He said softly. Carol smiled and pulled him in for another hug. "And," He paused and she pulled away. "I kissed you because I love you." Her mouth gaped but was quickly covered by Daryl's lips against hers. She kissed back and ran her fingers through his hair. They broke away and rested their foreheads against each other's.

"I love you too..." She said softly. He smiled. For once he actually smiled, a full smile showing the small dimples in his cheeks. He broke away and took her hand in his.

"C'mon." She smiled and gave his hand a small squeeze and started walking with him. "Also, I'm never letting you go again."
