The name reveal

Logan's POV

I awake from sleeping on the couch hearing the knock at the door. I get up while Ace takes her time waking up and answer the door.

"Dad, what are you doing here?" I asked him as he walks into our apartment "I can't come and see how my son, daughter-in-law and future grandson are?" He says "sorry dad I forget about the change of heart you have had, come on in"I say to him as we make our way to the lounge where Ace is sitting up.

"Morning Mitchum, what are you doing here?" She ask him "Just came by to check on how you kids are going? I was worried after Logan told us you were in an accident this is the first chance I had to get here to see you damn business kept me stuck in LA." He tells us. "Well how bout some coffee I know I could use some." I ask dad and Ace already knowing her answer.

"Sounds great Logan" dad says to me as I go to the kitchen and put on a fresh pot Ace and dad follow me to the kitchen and take a seat at the counter.

"So how's your book going Rory?" Dad asks

"It's actually finished, I was only my way back from meeting a friend that's in publishing in Stars Hollow when the accident happened. We got some good news yesterday about the book actually there are three publishers interested in meeting with me but we are going to wait till my ribs are healed before meeting them." She tells dad while I pour coffee for the three of us.

"That's great to hear but why didn't you bring it to one of our company publishers?" He asks her "I want to do this without the Huntzberger name if you understand, you know I have always been very independent and I want to know that it's published on its merits not because it's your daughter-in-laws book. No offence" she tells him and I smirk at her "Well I can't blame you for that." He says as we sit and drink our coffee and talk about general life and work.

"Dad there is one more thing I would like to tell you " I say as he looks over at me "We have decided on what we are going to name our little guy." I continue and look at Ace as she nods giving me her approval to tell him "We are going to call him Finn Richard Huntzberger" I say looking at dad hoping he won't be angry we haven't used any of our family names for the first born.

"That's great Logan when are you going to tell everyone else?" He asks. "We are not sure yet when the time is right I guess." Ace tells him. "Fair enough well I better get going I will see you back in the office when your ready, take care Rory and if you need anything don't hesitate to call" he says as he makes his way to the door and leaves.

We go back to relaxing on the couch and ordering in while Ace recovers.

4 weeks later

Rory's POV

I wake up and ease gently out of bed and head to the kitchen for my cup of coffee and some breakfast. After I finish eating I make my way to the study to find Logan working away on this fine Saturday morning.

"Morning darling" I say

"Morning ace how you feeling?" He asks

"Not too bad today all my ribs feel fine it's just this damn cast can't wait till it's off in another 3 weeks." I tell him "When will we go furniture shopping?" I ask him. Because of the last four weeks the nursery has been painted we decided on baby blue with a wizard of oz theme.

"Well how about tomorrow morning. Then we can go to honours for lunch." He replies

"Sounds good to me." I reply as I head back to the lounge and relax back. I fall asleep about an hour later I am woken gently by Logan.
