Goodbye, I'm Sorry

"Hey," said Chase,"Wanna Scare the living Daylights out of him?"

I reply, "Sure why not? How about this, you pretend dead in the fake coffin we made over there so you can scare him, while when he runs I jump at him!"

"Awesome Idea!" Says Chris

So we get to work. I put on my Scarecrow Mask and Chris gets in the coffin, grinning. Then We wait. I hear Billy coming out of the bathroom.

"HELLO MY PRECIOUS!!!!" I scream at the top of my voice. Billy freaks out and he runs to the coffin. I don't know if he was desperate or something but he climbed into the coffin. I don't know why but I always had a bad feeling about that coffin, it had weird inscriptions with other fun little freaky stuff, and it was not my idea to get it. It also had a Poem that said:

Dishonored the roots of this tree are

Regain thee lost pride shall be redeemed

If the protector of death shall come up away

Past shall come and regain once more

But the effect was good. Then what we heard was ear shattering people in France would probably call others in Germany about the scream of terror we heard. I was laughing so hard that I almost forgot to go Scare Billy. When I did though he collapsed on the floor with big scared eyes, but when I say,"GOT YA NOW MATE!!!" We both ended up on the floor laughing.When we eventually stopped laughing Billy said,"Wow that was good! How did you make Chris look so dead?"

The smile slowly fell off my face and I said,"What do you mean?"

"Oh stop messing around!" Billy says, still smiling.

"No i'm serious"

"Well Chris's role was to pretend to be dead right?

"No, His role was to jump out and scare you!" I said quickly. I feel my heart slowly start to beat faster and faster.

"Oh! I get it!" Billy exclaimed.

"What?"

"He is Probably waiting for us to get close, then he will scare us!" Billy said nearly laughing

I replied with a whisper saying, "Let's Scare him instead of the opposite."

"Good idea!"

Billy and I sneaked to the coffin as quietly as possible. I put on my scarecrow mask while Billy found a vampire one. When we got to the coffin I signaled with my hands 3....2....1....0 and the second i made a fist indicating 0, we both opened the coffin and screamed, "YAAAAARRRGGGHHH" We expected to hear a scream ,but instead we heard nothing. Confused we touched Chase. Nothing. I then noticed how pale he was.

I said in a shaky voice, "Chris, uh, you ok?" No response

Billy then shook Chris and said, "I think the coffin didn't have air holes so he got knocked out.."

We both took Chris out of the coffin and set him on the ground gently. I looked for a pulse, nothing. Panicking I felt his neck for a pulse, nothing.

"Billy, I think he's...dead..." I said in a shaky voice.
