The rest of the day was kind of boring compared to the previous events of the day. I went home just before six and then had dinner with my parents, explaining how my face got so beat up in a more elaborate way then what actually happened. They seemed to be confused, but went along with it anyways. They’re cool like that.

I went to bed after that and I’m pretty sure I dreamt about going on a skateboarding adventure with Johnny Depp.

He skateboarded down the Eiffel Tower and did a flip at the end.

I woke up and took a shower and remembered to pack my ukulele because I had tutoring sessions with Dallon on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I had a quick breakfast with my mom and then ran to the woods.

I ran up the Ross-Smith-Stump house and knocked on the door. I caught my breath as I waited for someone to answer the door. To my surprise, Josh opened the door with Tyler behind him.

“Hey, Brendon,” Josh smiled. “Come on in.”

I smiled back at him as I walked in. “Thanks. Do you know where Ryan is?”

“He’s in the bathroom upstairs,” Tyler answered.

“Thanks,” I said, walking towards the stairs. I walked up the stairs and down the hallway to the bathroom. The door was already half opened, so I pushed it the rest of the way.

Ryan was standing in front of the mirror applying make up to his eye and occasionally wincing. I walked behind him so that he could see me in the mirror and asked, “What are you doing?”

“Just trying to cover up this black eye,” he said, applying more make-up onto his eye.

“Well do you need any help?” I asked, standing more beside him than behind.

“Nah. I’m almost done,” he said, closing a few of the open make-up things. “You can leave and have some breakfast with the other guys if you’d like.”

“Not without a hello and or good morning kiss,” I pouted. He put down the brush that was in his hand and turned to me, leaning down and placing a soft kiss on my lips.

“Hello,” he murmured, eyes still closed. I smiled and placed a kiss on his cheek as he turned his head back to the mirror. I walked out of the bathroom and went down the stairs to join everyone in the kitchen.

“Brendon, when did you get here?” Pete asked, looking at me while also putting a plate of pancakes on the table.

“A few minutes ago. Josh and Tyler let me in,” I said, leaning the nearest wall.

“Oh, alright,” Pete said, still looking mildly confused. “Pancakes?”

“No, thanks,” I said as Ryan walked in and stood next to me. He put his hand on my jaw and turned my head and kissed me.

“Good morning,” he said.

I smiled at him as Spencer walked in.

“Ew,” Spencer said as he walked towards the fridge. “Get a room.”

“Yeah. I’m trying to eat here,” said Tyler, who was standing rather close to me and Ryan.

“You’re just jealous you don’t have a relationship like ours,” I said, hugging Ryan. Everyone went quiet for a while until Spencer started pouring sugar on his cereal.

“You put sugar on your Honey Nut Cheerios?” Tyler said, looking at Spencer oddly.

“I need to be woken up, and sugar will wake me up,” Spencer took his bowl of sugar and milk to the table and sat next to Patrick. Everyone went into their own conversations for a while until Patrick spoke up.
