Chapter 33

-

(Harry's POV)

-

When the door opened, they saw me. I knew they were there but I didn't dare turn around.
"RYEN NO!" I heard Perrie scream from behind me.
A tear slipped from my eye. When I heard Caitlyn I got up to comfort her.
I quickly put the ring back in my pocket.
"Daddy whys mommy sleeping?" Caitlyn asked.
I took Caitlyn out of the room and knelt down so I was her height.
"Honey... This is very upsetting to daddy.. But... Mommy... Isn't with us anymore." I said beginning to cry.
"Well all she has todo is come out of that room and she can be with us!" Caitlyn said.
I managed to give her a smile.
"If only..." I said.
When I saw the two nurses with the sheets to wrap Ryen up, I stopped them.
I walked in the room and all eyes were on me.
"May I have a minute alone with Ryen please?" I asked.
They all nodded and left the room.
-
I once more stood beside her and kissed her lips.
I now understood what she meant by what she said earlier.
"The meaning of life is to find your gift. But the purpose of life is to give it away."
She gave her life away to have a child....
I never knew she was so brave.
I lightly picked up her left hand and slipped the ring on her ring finger.
"I love you... So much.. An the truth is, I was empty and .... Kissing that girl... She was a nail. And you were the hole, and I was the tree.
You drilled a hole in me and I had to fill the hole with someone to make it better.... But honestly... Your un replaceable. No one, will ever take your place, baby, I promise." I said.
When I got up, I reached for the handle, but then I heard a noise. It was a bird. I walked over by the window sill it was sitting at.
It flew in the room and flew on Ryen.
I walked over and tried to shew it... But it wasn't afraid of me.
I watched it closely...
It was pecking at the IV.
I walked over and slid the IV out of her arm.
The bird looked at it, then flew away.
I looked down at the IV.
I was startled by the heart rate machine.
....
It started moving.
I grabbed her wrist and tried to remember what my mom taught me from her medical class.
Ryen had a pulse.
She was alive.
