Roze slowly walks over to me, cautious with every step. Her eyes stay frozen in fear, focusing on the window the figure had jumped out of.

"W-What was that thing..?" She asks.

I should be more joyous. Standing in front of me is my best friend. If I had not just been attacked by an unknown beast maybe my reaction to her presence would be a little different.

The claw mark on my arm from the attack no longer burns. With all that has happened- in such a short amount of time, I might add- I can't find a way to evenly give out all my attention. I have to focus on the now...

"Never mind that!" I exclaim. "What are you doing here?!"

"Well I haven't heard from you in a month." She states. "That first time you called me was the only time you called me."

"How were you able to get into the pack, let alone the main house undetected?"

It was really easy actually." She says. "Everyone here paid no attention to me. I just walked in... They all seemed so scared..."

I sigh, "I am to blame for that..."

"Delilah, what did you do?" Roze asks, crossing her arms. "I thought you came here to get away from the trouble you caused back home not to cause more trouble!"

"None of that was my fault! At least not this time..." I sigh. "I just warned them about smoke and the possibility of a fire."

"I can understand why a fire would make people concerned, this is a forest." She states.

She pauses, then sniffs the air. I raise an eyebrow at her as a big smile crosses her face. She begins to jump up and down and I roll my eyes. She does this for one reason and one reason only:

"It smells like cherries jubilee with vanilla ice cream!" She gleams. "I love cherries jubilee!"

"The cooks are probably making it." I say.

"I have to get some!" She heads towards the door and I grab her arm before she leaves.

"You can't do that!" I say sternly. "You got lucky getting in here! These people don't know who I really am, where I came from, and what I've done and I would really like to keep it that way!"

"That's great and everything, but I love cherries jubilee!" Roze whines. "It smells so tempting and heavenly!"

"You can have some next time!"

I shut my mouth instantly when I hear a knock at my door followed by a voice. Roze and I stiffen, not wanting to make a single move.

"Dalia? Are you ok in there?"

It's Alice.

"Dalia?" Roze silently mouthes to me.

I ignore her and push her into the closet and close the door. I pick up one of my perfume bottles and drop it, letting it shatter onto the ground, filling the room with the thick flowery scent.

"Come in!" I cough.

Alice walks in, she scrunches up her face as the smell of the perfume overwhelms her. Her eyes water. She covers her mouth and nose, coughing every now and then.

"What happened?" She coughs out.

"I accidentally knocked over my perfume bottle," I say. "Umm... is there something you need?"
