Chapter 9

A/N: Finally another update!! It's been a while and I'm sorry, I've just been working on my new story "Polarize" and I currently have a prologue and chapters 1-11 out so if you want you should check it out <3

"Why do you need me to come with you so bad?"

"What did I say about speaking?"

"That if I spoke I'd die, blah blah."

"So you want to die?"

"Maybe that'll be better than being forced to come with the likes of you."

Ren stopped abruptly and faced her, looking into her eyes.

"What are you doing? Don't we have to go somewhere? Wait — are you going to kill me?"

He didn't seem to say anything, looking back quickly before moving closer to her.

"Why are you so close to my face? Move out of the way!"

Rey shoved him hard, pushing against his chest.

"Shut up and trust me okay?"

"Why should I do that?"

"I said shut up."

"Not until —"

She was soon cut off by Ren's lips meeting hers. He held her close to his chest and she squirmed, irritated. Ren didn't seem to move until a few moments later.

Rey was left both breathless and irritated.

"What was that for?"

"I saw someone coming, and didn't want them to think anything, now let's go."

He started to walk away. Rey ran to catch up to him, still furious.

"And you couldn't have told me to duck behind a fucking bush?"

"I didn't have the time to think, okay?"

"Oh...oh! I get it now," Rey shook her head softly. "You decided to think down there rather than up here." She gestured to his head.

"Just get over it princess," he hissed in reply. "My ship is getting close, now come on."

"Whatever."

Rey shuffled forward and Ren soon beckoned her over to the huge black ship waiting by the docks.

"Lady's first."

Making a face, she walked on board, the ship a deathly silence.

"Why is it so quiet?"

"My men are either sleeping or are on the top deck. It's silent because we don't need enemy attention drawn to us."

Rey didn't say anything as he led her forward.

"You shall be staying in this room. It's right next to be quarters so I'll be able to keep an eye on you in case you try to escape."

"Why do you need me here? I know I've asked this question before but I've never gotten an answer."

"That is one of your business princess, now get some sleep. I'll see you in the morning."

Ren opened the door to his room, and began to his walk inside before turning to her to say one last thing.

"Remember my previous offer still stands, you better not try anything or else I'll kill everyone in Prince Storm's castle."

Before Rey could respond to the threat he walked inside completely and slammed the door.

Rey then found herself alone and the butterflies in her stomach only worsened.

She touched her fingers to her lips, still feeling the touch of his lips on hers.

Opening the door to her room, she fell asleep instantly. Dreaming of his brown eyes.

A/N: well hopefully you enjoyed this chapter! To be honest I'm probably not making this a slowburn for the sole reason that I've already tortured you all with "Polarize" and "Heartbreak Hotline."
