Chapter 59 - And that was our love story

I walked back in the house with Sydney and my mom gave us some Chocolate fudge cake, which was delicious but no where near as nice as the ones Briar made. We played charades and hide and seek and watched Christmas movies. Then we went to bed. I woke up in the morning and walked into Sydney's room.
"Hey Syd," I said
"Hey dad," she smiled and shuffled along in her bed so I could sit down
"How are you?" I asked
"I'm fine, I'm just trying to stay strong for you, mom and Niamh." She said with a smile which made me smile.
"Your mom is so proud of you Syd, always has and always will." I said and she hugged me
"Promise me, you will never leave us." She said so I showed her my pinky and she shook it with hers.
"I promise you." I whispered and smiled at her then Niamh walked in the room.
I patted the spot next to me on the bed and she sat down.
"You ok missus?" I asked her and she shook her head.
"What's up?" I said and kissed her forehead
"I miss mommy," she says and starts to cry
"Mommy will be looking down on us all, so promise me you will make her proud, everyday and every night." I say and we pinky promise and she snuggles into my chest.
Skip to next day
Today was Briars Birthday I got up extra early and went to her grave with a huge bouquet of flowers, a photo of me, her, Niamh and Sydney, a balloon and a real flower crown. I placed them down on her grave and just smiled to myself.

That was our love story, and the best love story I could of asked for.

Nobody's POV

Life got better over time
Did Myles ever get over Briars death..? Only time will tell... But I know his love for her was never-ending.
And Sydney and Niamh? They grew up to be the strong, independent, beautiful girls that there mother was.

Soooo... Thank you everyone for reading, voting & commenting. I've loved writing this book and I would of loved to continue but it was time for it to come to an end. This was the first book I wrote and honestly I'm going to miss writing about Sydney, Niamh, Myles and Briar.
