Chapter 05 ~ Audition

Briar POV

Next day

I opened the letter and it was about some auditions happening in my local area. I looked down the list to find the next step auditions, I rang Myles and said I will audition with him. He seemed happy from what I heard on the phone. 

Sunday

So today is Audition day my mom is driving me and Myles to it and we just can't wait. I've never danced before but I do watch lots of dance documentaries and dance TV programs. When we arrived we were given a number sticker and a name sticker and we were put in two groups. I was in Myles group. We were given some choreography to learn it looked difficult but with doing gymnastics it was really easy. Then we did solos, I felt great doing mine I added loads of flips into it, Myles was an amazing dancer! Finally there was a list of names of who had made the audition I looked at it it read:

Brittany Raymond - Riley

Trevor Tordjman - James

Isaac Lupien - Eldon

Victoria Baldesarra - Michelle

Alexandra Beaton - Emily

Briar Nolet - Richelle

Myles Erlick - Noah

This was only the first audition so more people would be joining later. I was so happy that me and Myles made it in. I rang my mom and she said she had been talking to Myles mom and they had signed us up to the Canadian Dance Company. I hugged Myles this was incredible. I've never danced in my life and I've just been offered a part on a dance reality to show. I checked the letter that Frank (the writer) had given me about rehearsals and times and what to wear. It read:

Dear Miss Nolet, 

We are delighted to offer you the role of Richelle on the next step. Richelle will be a very stubborn character and will be a member of J troupe. Richelle is best friends with Noah portrayed by Myles Erlick. Richelle doesn't make an appearance in season 1 but will be in the story lines quite a lot in season 2. We do expect you to attend all season 1 rehearsals and filming  since we may possibly change the scripts. Your first rehearsal will be on Saturday 4oclock.

Frank

I was so excite I jumped on Myles and he just gave me a confused look. Suddenly I feel sick, I jump off Myles and vomit down the drain next to me. I keep vomiting I've never been like this before. Myles holds my hair and then grabs my hand and walks me to the doctors, luckily there was an appointment straight away. I go with the doctor and Myles stays in the waiting room.

Myles POV

"Mr Erlick," The doctor says and I look at him. "Would you mind coming in?" He asks so I just follow and see Briar crying in a chair. "Mr Erlick I believe Briar would like to tell you something. I will give you some space." The doctor says and steps out the room. I'm so worried what is happening.

"Myles sit down please," Briar cries.

"What, what's wrong," I ask concerned 

"Myles... I'm pregnant," Briar says I feel rage burning inside of me but I stay calm. For Briars sake. "It's yours aswel." She cries my parents are going to kill me Briars parents are going to kill me getting their 17 year old daughter pregnant. She's far too young and she's just been offered a chance to be on a TV show. People dream of being on on TV shows like these but now she's pregnant. In 9 months time she's going to give birth to our child. How can we look after a child? We aren't even a couple. I sit and sulk I can't even look at Briar. What have I done to such an innocent girl like her. "Myles say something," I hear her whisper cry. I stand up and walk out I can't face it being in the same room where I just found out that the girl I slept with on Wednesday is pregnant with my child. I walk straight out the doctors and sit on a bench near by. I saw a man smoking a cigarette and I asked him if he had any more. He gave me one and lit it for me. I sat on the bench and saw Briar walk towards me crying her eyes out. What have I done. She's beautiful and so young. She can't have a child, it will kill her. It's going to ruin our friendship. "Myles why did you run off?" She says quietly to me I smoke more of my cigarette and say " Briar, we're far to young to have a child. We're not even a couple. Our parents will kill us especially me for getting you like this." I say and have one more draw of the cigarette before chucking it to the ground and standing up. "Myles, it's my fault I should of just stopped it before it went to far. This baby will be like a mini me or a mini you. It's the start of us Myles." Briar say before I shouted " Briar, it takes two to make a baby and I don't want this child at all in fact I don't want it to even know I'm it's father, this is not my problem Briar it's yours." I say and walk away. I hear sobbing from behind me what have I done. I completely blew it with this girl. The girl of my dreams.

Briars POV

I can't believe Myles wants nothing to do with his own child. He won't even support me through the pregnancy. I ring Brooklyn And explain what's happened:

B~Briar

Br~Brooklyn 

B- Brooklyn can you meet me

Br- Why babe what's up?

B- Babe I'm pregnant

Br- wait what since when with who?

B- Since Wednesday and with Myles 

Br- New Myles?

B-Yea

Br- Omg gal congrats

B- But he wants nothing to do with it and is leaving me to deal with it all alone

Br- wait what, how could he

B- we were getting so close and I've ruined that. We could of been a proper couple if we left it a few weeks.

Br-Don't worry girl I got this where are you and where is he

B- Park bench near the waterfountain and he's walking out of the park

Br- ok I see him gotta go.

Brooklyn POV

I see Myles and run up to him and slap his across the face.

"HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO BRIAR, YOU CAUSED ALL THIS AND YOUR LEAVING HER!?!" I scream

"Listen Brooklyn she's going to have to get an abor..." He starts saying but I cut him off

"AN ABORTION MYLES REALLY? YOU THINK BRIAR WILL KILL HER OWN CHILD. SHES CARRYING YOUR CHILD WETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT. YOUR ITS DAD AND YOU ALWAYS WILL BE." I scream. I can't believe he got my best friend pregnant and now he's leaving her. "Look she's over there sobbing her heart out because of you, talk to her you have to sooner rather than later." I say trying to stay calm.

Myles POV

Brooklyn has a point me and Briar need to talk about this. It's our future and together we could make it perfect.
