Chapter 26 ~ Reunited

Myles POV

As I watch Briar walk away with Niamh I can feel tears rolling down my cheeks.  I thought I could go to Hollywood with Briar and the girls and be a proper family but I freaked in the moment. I'm going to miss her so much. I grab a hold of Sydney's hand and walk to the window directly opposite the plane I know Briar and Nimah will be getting on. I watch out the window and I can just about see them getting on the plane. I wave although I know she cannot see me. Once she's boarded I leave the airport and call a cab to take me back to my moms.

Briars POV

When I get on the plane I go and find our seats and sit down. There is 2 empty seats next to us where Myles and Sydney should of been sitting.

Me: Are you ready niamhy 

Niamh nods her head. I grab her little hand and I just hold it until the plane takes off. I feel tears streaming down my face. Maybe we weren't meant to be me and Myles, maybe that's why he didn't come. 

Niamh: Mommy why you crying?

Me: You see Niamh Myles and Sydney aren't coming with us anymore. They are staying in Canada and we won't see them anymore unless they come to visit or we visit them.

Niamh gives me a hug and doesn't move until the plane lands. Once it's landed we get off and go into the arrivals area so we can get the 4 very heavy suitcases. I get a trolley and load the suitcases on then we leave the airport and get into the cab which is taking us to our new house. 

The cab pulls up to our house and I am treated by my agent (Paula) who has the keys to it.

Paula: Hello Briar and Niamh, so this is your new home. Where's Myles and Sydney?

Me: Myles and Sydney both refused to come when we were literally in the departures lounge. It's just us 2 isn't it Niamh 

Niamh nods her head and Paula gives me the keys to the house and she grabs a case from the taxi. When I open the door to my house we all go in and walk upstairs to put the cases in our room. Paula told me before hand that the house had already been furnished so there was already beds for us to sleep in. It was quite late so Paula left and me and Niamh went to bed. Before I went to sleep I rang Myles 4 times but he didn't pick up. Niamh slept in my bed because she was scared.

Myles POV

So I'm back at my moms house with Sydney. Me and Briar haven't put our old house on the market so I'm going to buy some new furniture and move back in. I put Sydney to bed check my phone and see I have 4 missed calls from Briar. I text her saying I'll ring her in the morning then I go to bed.

Morning

Briars POV

I wake up and start to unpack. I try to be quiet Since Niamh is sleeping. Once I've unpacked one suitcase. I give Niamh Niamh a kiss on the head and go and figure out which room is the second biggest for Niamh. Once I've figured that out I start unpacking her clothes and teddys. I open Myles and Sydney's suitcase to see if any of mine and Niamh's stuff are in them. I find some photos of me Sydney, Niamh and Myles at our Wedding. I take the photo and put it in the front room on display. I stood and watched it and then I saw Niamh walk in the room.

Niamh: Mommy why are you down here?

Me: Niamhy mommy was just unpacking.

Niamh: will I see Myles and Sydney again

Me: Yes sweetheart of cause. 

Then we hugged and got changed.

5ish years later

So today is Niamh's birthday she's 7. I haven't seen Myles in 5 years. I still text him most days but recently we've become more distant I haven't rang him in a year or so. I'm not sure wether were separated or not. Suddenly my phone rings it's Fran (Myles mom).

Fran: Hello Briar its Fran, I shouldn't be telling you this but Myles is coming to Hollywood

Me: What

Fran: He's decided he's ready to move in with you and since Sydney starts high school soon she's starting over there. You are ok with this aren't you?

Me: I'm more than ok with this, I can't wait!

Fran: He'll be landing around about now. So get ready!

Me: We're ready alright! I'm so sorry Fran for now visiting, just I've been so caught up with this job and everything

Fran: Oh yes congratulations, everyone is talking about you over here! Will visit soon. Bye lovely!

Me: Bye Fran

Then I hang up. I get the Hoover and start dusting, hoovering the carpets and sofa and moping the laminated flooring. I run up the stairs make my bed, Niamh's bed and the guest rooms bed which will be Sydney's. I put some candles on display in my bedroom and put an airfreshner in Sydney's room. I run down the stairs and run into the garden and take all the dry washing off the washing line and bring it back in the house. I quickly iron it and fold it neatly and then me and Niamh put all the clothes away. I checked my phone and Fran had text me saying they will be an hour they've just got in the cab. I walk to the corner shop with Niamh and we buy some chocolate and big bags of crisps. When we get home I put them in some bowls and then we put a film on and sit and wait on the sofa. Then I hear a knock on the door, the knock which I've waited 5 years for. I get up and walk to the door. When I get to the door I take a deep breath in and then I open it. The minute I open the door I feel tears running down my cheeks I jump into his arms and give him the biggest hug I have ever given him. Then I get down and look at Sydney and she gives me a hug.

Niamh: Mommy whose at the door?

Me: Niamh just stay there and you will see.

Myles smiles

Me: Well I guess you best come in and I'll show you to your rooms.

They walk in and Niamh looks at them. 

Sydney: Niamhy

Niamh runs up to her and hugs her tightly and then runs up to Myles and hugs him.

Me: Somebody's missed you haha.

Then I show them to their rooms.

Me: Syd this is your room and Myles if your ok with it your sharing with me.

Myles: Trust me there isn't anybody I would rather share with.

Then we kiss for the first time in 5 years.
