Days are much too short. Hanako's hair clip my one precious item left before her corpse was discovered inside of one of the school's many closets. I missed school without parent approval for days, weeks, it wasn't important. Megami constantly texted me for information on the murder, but I always flipped my phone over and lied motionless... was there anything else to do? That one day I promised would never happen, because of someone selfish enough to kill her without thinking of consequences. Maybe they did and just didn't care, but it struck me so suddenly. I HAD to find the culprit. With my last dying breath even, Hanako was so sweet... innocent... and mine.

"The sooner you help us, the sooner Yamada-chan can rest peacefully."

Megami texting me once more, but it was the first time I actually read through it. I cupped my mouth, my eyes beginning to water, just when I thought I couldn't be more emotional. Megami needed this solved, and she knew I did too. The next day I arrived at the Student Council meeting place. Megami paced the room, Osoro playing with a bandage on her leg in one of the chairs.

"The reputation of our school is at stake, you can't just tell students about theories on the incident."

Osoro crossed her arms. Megami turned to me and stayed clear faced.

"Now that you're here, we've a few things to discuss with you."

"Okay... I'll tell you everything I now."

I explained in detail all important events leading up to now. She focused closely and took notes, then told of the police and Osoro and how she told multiple students about suspects. She sighed and looked back at Osoro, who I didn't notice was still here from her silence.

"With the information I've received I think I can fit some pieces together. Come back in the morning and I'll see if you can help the case more... thank you."

I left the room, a look back at Megami with a soft smile and a head tilt. She paused, returning the most beautiful smile I had ever seen. I exhaled and touched my forehead after exiting to the hall. It reminded me... of Hanako. Things could never be the same, and I knew her brother was devastated enough to skip school, more than I had. But maybe it was just time to let go... Hanako wanted happiness for the both of us and resting this case would just be better for us, the students, Megami.

I approached the door and expected to see Megami writing on the board or something of that nature. Instead, I found her sleeping peacefully, head rested on table. She turned her head over and looked up at me, saddened. She sat up gradually and hung her head, hair flowing down to the table.

"I'm sorry, I'll begin working on the case once more."

"Have you been here all night?... You don't have to be perfect."

The words had just slipped by my lips. I was scared that I had offended her, as she frowned and looked away.

"Yes I do, the weight of the school is on my shoulders and-"

She stopped mid-sentence, my hand running through her beautiful silver locks. She seemed oddly relax, despite being startled by the suddenness. She lied her head back on the table as I took a seat beside her, I couldn't help but smile at her. She looked back into my eyes and smiled widely, her hand touching mine sweetly. I lied my head beside hers and we sat in dead silence, my hand still stroking her hair and cheek.

"I promise that even if you aren't perfect, someone else thinks you're the world."

I brought my lips to her forehead. She closed her eyes and grabbed my hand once more. After everything I'd been through, I just wanted someone to hang out with. Instead, I became someone else... Megami had become my world.
