Yes, in fact, everything that Alex thought had happened when Adelpha came back was none other than a dream formed while he was in a medically-induced coma after his suicide attempt. Nothing had ever crushed Alex harder than knowing he couldn't do anything more to help his daughter.

Now, he stood in front of her grave once again, the five flowers that had been placed there never moved, and now shriveled up. He stared up at the starry night, and checked his watch with blurry vision from his teary eyes.

July 1, 12:01 AM.

Alex gently bent down to pick up the flowers on Adelpha's grave, carefully sliding them into the pocket of his hoodie. He then lovingly left the bouquet of green-stained roses on the soft summer grass directly in front of the marble grave. And with a quiet mumble, Alex said something that Adelpha had only ever heard once in her life, exactly two years ago.

"Happy Birthday, Ad."
