Sam Wisemen was sitting on his porch swing with his best friend, Kylie Petterson, and they were having the best time laughing and joking as they always did with each other. 'Wow,' Sam thought,'she is so beautiful'

Sam was always thinking things like this. It was obvious to everyone that he had a crush on Kylie. Well, obvious to everyone but Kylie. Everyone always wondered why she couldn't see it and most people thought it was because she didn't want to. But the thing was she couldn't because Kylie was blind to people's emotions she could never tell how they could feel and always had to ask, like now she could feel Sam's eyes on her as she played with her hair.

"What?" she asked

"Huh uh what um I- I mean um nothing nothing you just um nothing" Sam stuttered. He hadn't even realized he was staring at her, 'stupid' he scolded himself in his mind.

"Um okay yeah," Kylie started," I got to get going anyway. I'll text you later ok?"

"Yeah we have got to discuss our first day of school plan right?" Sam asked.

"Of course," Kylie said with a smile as she started the quick walk to her house.

Kylie chuckled to herself she always loved the last day of summer, she and Sam would spend the the entire day together just talking about their summer and how much fun they had and all the things they wanted to do this school year. Within five minutes Kylie was home. She went in and went straight up to her room.

The first thing she did was get on her laptop and Oovoo Sam whose username was "Wiseman101."She knew why he chose that username, because she always called him "Wiseman."

She pressed video call and he picked up almost immediately. "Hey Ky," he said with his goofy smile and they started planning how they were gonna rock their junior year.

Sam's POV

"Oh god Sam," I said to myself. "You got it bad." I had known for a few years now that I loved. I loved how her hair was never perfect and she didn't care, I loved to try and make her smile so the dimple in her cheek showed, but most of all I loved her as a person in general.

I know that if I told her that she would probably start laughing in my face because it's the best joke ever and I can't risk losing her as a friend.

Suddenly, my door busts open and a dark fog starts to pour in as the lights go out and the air drops to freezing temperatures, as the witch walks in.

No, I'm just kidding it's just my older sister, who is still a witch to me, coming to tell me dinner is ready.

"What's that look," she asks me," did Kylie say yes when you finally asked her out?"

I frown." I didn't ask her." I say.

"Of course you didn't," she say. "That's why you are going to be alone forever."

"Get out," I say.

Kylie's POV

About 20 minutes later Kylie was picking out an outfit for school the next day when her text notification went off. It was from Lissa, it said " r u ready for tmrw'. Kylie smiled to herself, Lissa was such a girl sometimes. She saw school as a place for socializing and was always getting in trouble for it. Kylie sent back, ' No but I'll see u there' which was replied by a '😜 k' Kylie returned to what she was doing and soon she had picked out an outfit and was ready to face the first day of her junior year.
