*the next morning*
Kylie's POV
As I finished up my breakfast, waffles and bacon a first day of school tradition, I hear a car horn honk.
*beep beep*
I smile to myself knowing that it is Sam. It feels great to know that I can always count on him. I head out to the car and I call out," Bye Mom"
As I head to the car I realize it's my favorite kind of day, cloudy with just the right amount of sun shining through. Its my version of a good omen. When I enter the car I say hi to Sam and position my seat belt.
"You ready to rock this," he asks right away.
"Always, wiseman." I reply.
When we arrive and he parks the car we start to walk toward the front steps, we call this time before the first bell rings happy hour. We wave to a couple if our friends as they see us approach. I notice a lot of people are looking at us and I begin to get self-conscious until I look again and I realize they are all girls.
" Sam I," I say, " I think you have a few secret admirers."
"Huh," he starts," oh it's probably not me," he says modestly. But that's Sam for you. I have to admit he is pretty handsome, with his tall stature and long limbs. Not to mention his messy dark brown hair and alert green eyes. on the other hand neither of us have ever had a boyfriend or a girlfriend, which surprises almost everyone we meet. I guess I wasn't ready for a boyfriend.
Sam's POV
As we approach the front steps, Kylie points out that a bunch of freshmen girls are staring at me like they're tigers and I'm a piece of raw meat. Okay bad comparison.
Anyway I don't care I only have eyes for one girl... and she doesn't even know it.
Drew's POV
I'm standing here with my normal crew just prepping for the first day of school when I see Sam and Kylie walk up. They look like they are having a conversation that neither of them are enjoying. I chuckle to myself, I point them out to my girlfriend Lissa and she gives the most ear splitting scream I've heard outside of a horror movie.
Lissa's POV
" Aaaaaaaahhhhhhh Oh MY GOSH!!!"
I scream. I run over to Kylie and Sam and squeeze them both in a group hug.
"Calm down Liss it's been three months since we've seen each other not years." Kylie says.
" Oh what, so you didn't miss me? Now I'm offended." I say as I back away in mock offense.
"Of course they missed us, my dear." I hear Drew say from behind me as he pulls me into a hug. Sam and Kylie nod in agreement.
" I know," I say with a goofy grin.
Kylie shakes her head,"You are such a tease." We all laugh at that.
I guess I should give a recap, Drew and I haven't seen Kylie and Sam for three months because we took our first vacation together. I spent the summer with Drew's parents and older brother, who I admit tried to steal me away from Drew, in Spain. But now that we are back I can't wait to start our school wide takeover.
"Okay," I start to say," here's the plan," we spend the next 20 minutes planning until the bell rings signaling its time to get to class.
