Sam's POV
It was the last class of the day. So far today, I'd been able to avoid Kylie. I was not looking forward to this class since we sat right next to each other.
I took my time getting there, I didn't want to have to see her getting there. By the time I got there both she and Davey were already there. 'Oh gosh just pure awkwardness'
"Hey there," Davey said. As I went to take my seat. "So when are we gonna go on our date?"
"Um," I take a second to think," how about Friday?"
"Yep sounds great," She replied. "You can text me the details like time, venue, and how I should dress."
I smiled," It sounds like a plan."
Then I made the mistake of glancing at Kylie and saw she was staring at us. She turned to her book immediately pretending not to see us but I could see her cheeks turning pink.
Narrator's POV
The rest of the week passed quickly, and before any of them knew it, it was Friday night.
Lissa's POV
"It's Friday night and we don't have any plans," I complained to Kylie. I had come to her house after school to do homework together and now it was about seven and we didn't have anything to do.
"Mm-hmm," Kylie agreed, sounding bored with this conversation.
I knew I was boring her but I couldn't help wondering what Drew was doing this Friday. It was the first Friday in a year that we didn't spend with at least each other.
"Come on, we're going to my house to change," I announced.
"Why," Kylie questioned. "Where are we going?"
"Out," was my reply.
Sam's POV
I had to admit I was extremely nervous. This would be my first date ever. I hadn't known where to take Davey so I asked Drew and he told me about this all-age club. I mentioned it to Davey, who seemed to like the idea so that's where we're going.
I went up the driveway to knock on the door. I waited a few seconds and then Davey answered and said,"Let's go."
For a second I was stunned. Davey looked good. She had on a black leather sleeveless button down shirt and red plaid pants with chain trim along with zip up ankle boots. She had straightened her hair for the occasion.
"Um are we gonna go," She asked me. I nodded. I escorted her to he passenger side of the car and opened her door. I got in and started driving, we were there in a matter of 20 minutes. I helped her out the car.We headed toward the line and when we got there, I saw a problem.
Kylie's POV
"How about this," Lissa asked. She had come out of her closet and was holding up an outfit for me. I knew I wouldn't be able to pull off most of the things in her closet but I could try that.
I emerge from the bathroom wearing the outfit she picked out. An off the shoulder purple top with a zipper going up the side, black skinny jeans and open toe purple ankle boots.
"Wow, you look...amazing," Lissa exclaimed.
"Thanks, so do you." I noticed she's changed into a black top crop,a black short skirt, black boots, silver leggings and a silver mini-vest.
"I know, right, now let's go."
Oh well, that's Lissa for you. I still had no idea where she was taking me. But apparently we were "there" in about 20 minutes.
We were at an all ages club but there was a long line. We stayed anyway and chatted in line for a few minutes until Sam showed up...with Davey...Awkward.
"Oh...my...God," I whisper.
"What,"Lissa asks. I point and she swears under her breath.
"What the f***!?!?!?!?"Lissa exclaims. Not my thoughts exactly but, close enough. I already knew that they were going out but I didn't know that they were going here. The look on my face was probably hilarious to anyone watching right now. For some reason, I felt kind of...jealous. It was weird.
Lissa's POV
"Um so this is EXTREMELY awkward," I whisper to Kylie,"We can go if you want." She shakes her head a clear "No." She thinks she always has to be tough and deal all the time, sometimes I want to tell let to just release it all, don't hold back. But I know it's useless.
"No," She says, seeing the look on my face. "Let's just stay and go inside to have fun. Once we're inside we probably won't even see them." She rolled her eyes. My thoughts were,"If you say so."
