Lissa's POV
"Do you guys know that girl," Sam asks.
I roll my eyes. Sam is way too worried about this chick. I lean into Drew unconsciously. Kylie is giving Sam worried glances, but he seems to be avoiding looking at her.
"No, Sam, we don't know that girl." Drew's tone is bored as he answers the question for all of us.
Sam is growing increasingly frustrated. His love life is falling to pieces and his schoolwork is suffering for it. "I don't know what to do. She won't even let me near her."
"Dude, you need to calm down, okay? She just needs some time." Drew is trying to reassure him, but it's not working.
Sam looks tired, frantically, he runs his hands through his hair. "I don't want to wait. I want to be with her now, I hate seeing her look so sad."
I cut in,"You knew her for like a week! How strong could your bond be?" He glares at me.
"I could try talking to her again," Ky volunteers, oh bad idea.
And it seems like I'm not the only one to think so,"Kylie, I think you're the last person she wants to talk to," Sam snaps.
Kylie, frustrated with Sam now, snaps too,"Nope, that would be you."
Sam slams his fists onto the table, pushes his chair back and storms out of the cafeteria.
Kylie looks extremely guilty now and gets up as well. "I left, I need, I-I forgot, uh locker." Her footsteps are shaky as she makes her way out.
I turn to Drew,"What are we gonna do about our friends?"
He kisses my forehead. "I don't know, babe."

Kylie's POV
Ugh. Curse Sam for ruining our friendship, curse Davey for not being with Sam, but most of all curse me for being happy about it.
It's not like I actually like Sam, I mean c'mon, he's my best friend. I just don't like Davey...to be his girlfriend. Ugh this whole thing is a mess, I just want to slam my head in a locker to rid myself of all the confusion, maybe give myself amnesia.
My phone vibrates in my back pocket. I must have forgotten to turn it off before school. There isn't anyone in the hallway so... I have a text from Lukas.
'How's school?'
Wow, very enticing.
I reply,'its school. what do u expect?'
Almost instantly he says, 'understandable. So I guess I should tell u the deets of the party.'
Eagerly I type,'yes plz'
Again, instant response,'its casual, I suggest an outfit like u would wear to a bday party, or something'
'Cool,' I text. 'I g2g, school awaits'
I need to drag Lissa with me to go outfit shopping today after school.

Sam's POV
God, why couldn't Davey listen to me. If she did, this whole situation would have turned out way differently than it's going now.
Instead of me being in here kicking and punching the crap out of these punching bags.
Punch, punch
And who was that girl that called D over to her table with all her friends?
Punch, kick
I've never seen her before. And Davey just smiled at her, like she was supposed to be smiling at me.
Kick, punch.
God, I miss her.
Kick, kick, punch, kick, double tap, roundhouse kick.
Suddenly, slow clapping begins behind me. "That's a powerful kick you got there."
I'm breathing hard. "Thanks." I think this guy is the boxing coach.
"I would love to help train you for the team."
"I don't do sports," I say. It's true, I only know this stuff because mom made me take self-defense classes.
"Well, why don't you think about it, it's a good way to release that anger," Coach whatever-his-name-is says.
"I don't have anger," I say, seething inside. Okay, maybe a little anger.
"If you keep telling yourself that, you'll explode."
Yes, on you, I think to myself. "Excuse me," I push past him.

Davey's POV
"So why did you call me over here," I question, confused. I don't know anyone at this table but they all welcome me with warm smiles.
The one who originally called me over here says,"We think your cool and that your ex is a douche. I'm Chloë by the way."
Chloë has soft blonde hair, brown eyes, and a wide smile. She looks like a model, except for her clothes. Skater skirt, corset top, bomber jacket, and combat boots. Edgy.
"Sam isn't a douche he just," I search for the right word,"he just has to earn his way back to me."
Chloë's friend, Lacey was it, rolls her eyes. Lacey is pretty too in an 'I'll beat you up' way. Her black hair had a streak of hot pink on one side of it and she wore dark grey skinny cargo pants, a tank top that showed off a little bit of her stomach, a leather jacket, grey gloves and grey sneakers. "We gave up in that 'boy' thing a while ago. They just aren't worth the trouble."
"Wait, ar-are you saying," I'm shocked to say the least.
"Oh I guess I should tell you," Chloe and Lacey exchange a look "We're gay."
The first thought that goes through my head is,'What the actual poop?'
