CHAPTER ONE:
FIRST DAY

~PRESENT DAY~

I grinned as I ran down the stairs, throwing my bag over my shoulders. I entered the kitchen, panting like a maniac. Let me introduce myself. I'm a she-wolf from the Blood moon pack. I have chocolate brown hair, ocean blue eyes, and pale skin. I shifted a few weeks ago, on my sixteenth birthday. My wolf her name is Alexandrite and it's a long name, I know, but I still love her. She has white fur with a little bit of brown. She's beautiful.

"Morning Mom," I kissed Mom's cheek.

"Good morning sweetheart," Mom smiled cheekily.

My Mom is human and my Dad is a werewolf. I'm glad I'm one too, you know. I also have a protective big brother, Mark. Mark is the soon to be Beta of our pack. I also have a beautiful little sister, Ashley. Ashley's just four years old, so we don't know yet if she's human or wolf.

'Good morning, sweetheart,' Alexandrite said.

'Good morning, Alex,' I greeted back.

"Have you told Skyler that you'll be going to school?" Mom asked and I nodded.

Skylar has been my best friend for two years now, ever since I've joined this pack of course. He's seventeen and I just turned sixteen.

I smiled to myself as I took a bite of my chocolate chip pancakes. I moaned lowly to myself, making my mother chuckle. I had to admit, my Mom was the best cook I ever came across in my entire life.

"Hey, you idiot," Mark said as he kissed my forehead and took a bite of my pancake.

"Good morning and that was mine," I whined.

He just shrugged and poked my forehead. Jerk. He sat on the other side of the table and smirked at me. You know, sometimes I ask myself how I got such a cocky and idiotic brother.

"Ready to go?" Mark asked when he saw that I was nearly done with my breakfast. I nodded as I shoved the rest of my pancake in my mouth, making me feel like some sort of human vacuum.

I put the plate in the sink and drank a glass of water. I gave mom a kiss on her cheek, ruffled Ashley's hair, and kissed her forehead, "Bye honey."

"Bye Faayy!!" Ashley said cheerfully.

I giggled and kissed her cheek again before following Mark to the garage hopping in his car.

"So, goldfish, what are you doing after school?" he asked starting the car.

"Nothing, why?" I asked, ignoring the fact that he just called me a goldfish.

"No, I wanted to ask you if you wanted to go to Billy's today. I want you to meet someone." he scratched the back of his head nervously, as if I'm going to say no.

Billy's is a small diner in town. It's our 'secret' hide out as you may say it. It was our favorite spot to hang out.

"Okay, sure." I kissed his cheek and he narrowed his eyes at me.

I kept wondering who he wanted me to meet. I looked at him as he pulled out of the driveway and started driving me to school.
