Ivor X Harper

Just invite her over Ivor, I thought to myself, reaching for the phone. Nervously, I picked

it up and dialed her number. "Hey Ivor!" She said. I sighed a sigh of relief, knowing that

she actually decided to pick up the phone. "Hey Harper... listen, you know how you said

that you want to learn how to make potions?"

"Yeah," She responded.

"Well, if you want, I can show you how," I started, "I mean, if y-you don't want to- I-I understand-"

"I'd love to." She cut me off.

I smiled to myself and did a small little victory dance.

"I'll call you when I get to the portal network," she said, "I'll need to know which portal is
yours."

"Alright, see you then!" I told her, still smiling.

"Bye Ivor!" She responded, and hung up.

I did a fist pump to myself and turned around to leave, only to see that Jesse was standing

in the doorway.

"Somebody's got a Daaaaaate!" She sang happily.

"Wha- no!" I said, feeling my cheeks heat up.

"Liar!" She laughed, "You have a date with Harper!"

I knew that there was no way to lie myself out of this, so I simply nodded.

I could tell that my cheeks were the colour of redstone by now.

Suddenly my phone started ringing.

"Harper must be close!" Jesse said with excitement.

I shushed her and answered.

"Hey Harper!" I greeted her.

Jesse squealed, and quickly covered her mouth.

"What was that?" Harper asked.

"Oh, y'know, I'm just making tea!" I lied.

She paused for a moment.

"So, Ivor, which portal goes to your place?" She finally asked.

"Uh," I said, trying to recall what it looked like, "it was made of oak wood."

"Alright, see you soon!" She responded.

"See you soon!" I said.

I pulled Harper's Rose out and smiled. "She's amazing!" I whispered, but remembered

Jesse was here. I quickly put it back in my pocket and blushed.

"I'll make sure to tell the order to leave the temple, so you two can have some alone time,"
she told me.

"Nonsense, my lava tower should be fine!" I replied.

Jesse looked at me like I was an idiot.

"Ivor... your lava tower is a bit... dangerous, don't you think?" She asked me.

I nodded. "Riiiight, lava and potions don't really react well..."

Jesse nodded.

"Yeah, we have a room in the back with some brewing stands and ingredients, you and Harper can make potions in there," she offered.

I nodded.

"Thanks Jesse."

She left the room to go and get everyone out.

My phone started ringing again, so I picked it up.

"Harper?" I asked, a bit confused.

"Um, Ivor, does your world have giant spiders crawling everywhere?" Harper asked.

"No..." I replied nervously.

"I see..." she said.

Suddenly, she let out an ear piecing scream, which was followed by the sound of a phone
hitting the ground.

"Harper!" I screamed.

There was no reply.

I hung up and ran towards the treasure room.

I quickly grabbed the Atlas and the Flint and Steel, and out.

"Don't worry Harper," I said to myself, "I'm coming."
