1st day as a merch girl.

LAURA'S P.O.V

I woke up at 9:00am the next morning. I really needed to use the bathroom but someone else was using it. Damn it. Tino , Phil and Alan were still asleep. Aaron and Austin and I were the only ones awake. "Aaron who's in the bathroom? I need to pee !! " I said. Aaron laughed and said "Austin is in there". I couldn't hold it in for much longer so I knocked on the door and said "how long have you been in there?! I need to pee dude!" I laughed at myself for acting like such a little child. I also heard Austin laughing and he came out of the shower with a towel wrapped around his waist. I just stared at him but then I immediately looked away and went in the bathroom. I'm just so akward. Couldn't make it more obvious.. way to go Laura. After a bit I got out and couldn't help but stare at him. I tried not to make it too obvious but I failed. My akwardness level is 100%.

"Austin you can go back in now" I told him as I got out.

"You're ready , missy?" he said with a cheeky look.

I giggled and said "Yeah thankyou" and he went back to what he was doing.

I pulled my long black wavy hair in a messy ponytail and sat down next to Aaron who was sitting on the couch watching TV. He was looking through channels when all of a sudden something caught my eye. I jumped up and screamed "Courage the cowardly dog!" but then I covered my mouth cause I forgot Tino , Phil and Alan were still asleep. They would probably strangle me if I woke them up by screaming at a cartoon character on TV. Aaron was laughing at me. I must admit it.. I was acting childish haha. "Let's watch this!" Aaron said. I immediately sat down next to him again and started watching my favourite cartoon since when I was a kid.

Austin got out of the shower and sat down next to us. After about an hour Alan , Tino and Phil got up cause they had to leave for an interview in a bit. They got dressed and got ready to leave. "We're going for an interview , Laura. We'll be back soon okay?" Austin said. I nodded and waved at them.

I was all alone. Hmm what shall I do? I got up and headed to the bathroom. I took a long cold shower and started thinking about how my sister and I barely said a word since we've been here.. I mean this is only the second day but I felt that something was wrong. I tried to ignore it for a bit.

I got out of the shower ,wrapped a towel around me and looked at the mirror. Ugh why couldn't I be naturally pretty? I got out and headed to the backroom and picked my clothes for the day. I wore a pair of black leggings , a Suicide Silence tee and a pair of military boots. I grabbed my make up bag and headed to the bathroom again. I stared at my top  for a while.. Damn I really miss Mitch. I pulled my hair into a messy bun and applied some concealer under my eyes and then started my eye make up. It was nothing special , just a simple smokey-eye look. I finished off with some nude lipgloss.

When I was ready I put everything back into my makeup bag , pulled my hair down and brushed it. I put my stuff back to where they were and looked at the clock. Still quite early. Only 10:30am. I grabbed my phone and my earphones and got out of the bus. I started walking around and exploring the area. I was lost in my thoughts and all of a sudden I bumped into someone. Oh it's Matt Nicholls! "Oh my god i'm so sorry Matt!" "It's okay!" he said while smiling at me. "We have met before , right?" "Yeah, Austin introduced me to you yesterday remember?" I answered. "Oh okay now I remember!" He said while letting out a little giggle. "You're Of mice & men's merch girl aren't you?" "That's right!" I said. "I gotta go now , see you around!" He said. I nodded at him and smiled and said "bye".

On my way back to the bus I spotted Caroline. Just the person I was hoping to see. "Caroline! Wait!" I yelled. I ran towards her and said "are you okay? We barely said a word since yesterday. Did I do something wrong?"

"No you didn't do anything wrong Laura. And yeah I know but i will obviously see you around that's why I didn't text you or anything. I gotta go now though. See ya around sis"

"Bye" I said. Wow she surely looks like she was missing me...not. She didn't even bother texting me back after I sent her a thousand texts.

Guys i'm really sorry for not writing anything new and interesting lately but I was really busy with school and exams. Sowwie :( But I will be updating it sooner than you think! c:

I started heading back to the tour bus when I spotted Of mice & men running towards me to give me a group hug. I got a bit terrified seeing 5 guys running towards me to be honest. That's it. In no time I fell on my butt and they started laughing me. "Evil guys!" I said while laughing my ass off! They all said "Awhhh  haha" and continued being cheeky. Then we had a proper group hug without anybody falling on their ass.

We went on the bus and everyone started getting ready because the show was starting in 2 hours. I went into the bathroom and had a quick shower. I put on a pair or black skinny jeans and a white top which said "Normal is boring" haha no I'm not normal. I also wore a pair of combat boots with tiny studs at the back. I brushed my hair , took one last glance at the mirror and got out.

Everyone was ready and we had plenty of time left so we headed to the green room and had a couple of beers while waiting for the time to pass.

"I gotta go guys , merch is waiting to be sold haha" I said. Austin pouted at me and made a puppy dog face. I simply couldn't resist squeezing those cheeks! "Ow!" said Austin. "Don't make a fuss now hun" I said cheekily. I hugged everyone and left the room to start my first day as a merch girl. I was so nervous. As soon as I arrived there a girl named Maggie came hugging me! "You're the new merch girl right?" she said excitedly. "Yeah it's so nice to meet you! What's your name sweetie?" I said. "I'm Maggie! Nice to meet you Laura. Austin has told me a lot about you" "Awhh I figured , he's such a sweetheart" I said.

The line was getting pretty long and fans started heading to the tent for Merch. We sold so many Of mice & men tees and rubber bracelets! It's amazing seeing so many people looking so happy and excited. I've always been like this , I love seeing people smile!

The time went by pretty quick and people started heading for the show. It was quiet when all of a sudden Maggie said "You should go backstage to watch them play!" "It's okay , I don't want to leave you all alone over here" I answered. "I'll be just fine! I'll listen to them play from here" she said  "Are you sure?" I asked not feeling quite sure about it. "100% sure" Maggie said. "Thankyou so much Maggie! I'll see you later or tomorrow then love!" I gave her a hug and headed to the stage.

By the time I was there they were playing 'Break Free' from their latest album 'Restoring Force'. Such a beautiful song. Tino spotted me and smiled at me. I waved at him and smiled. They finished off with Second & Sebring. It was beautiful. Austin thanked everyone that came to their show and they left the stage. Austin didn't know I was there so he was surprised when he saw me and gave me a big hug. He had to bend down & I had to stand on my tippy toes cause of the fact that he's 6ft4 & I'm only 5ft6! "Austin you're all sweaty!" I said in a cheeky way. 'Oh too bad bitch" he said. I could hear him laugh even though he was trying to be quiet. We spent all our way back to the bus calling eachother names and being silly.

Everyone showered and relaxed in the back room except me. I was listening to music in the main part of the bus. Austin got out of the shower and sat down next to me. I took my earphones off and put my phone next to me. "Hey" I said. "Hello there. Laura would you like to go for a walk and get some fresh air?" he said. "Yeah sure , why not!" I answered. We got out of the bus and started walking but after a bit we sat down next to the beautiful little lake. We kept quiet for a bit until I burst out crying. "Laura what's wrong?!" Austin asked. He looked worried and his eyes looking sad. He hugged me thight while I explained. I was crying because I was feeling like rubbish because of my sister. Usually I'm quite a strong person but everyone has those moments I guess. "Laura I promise this is going to be okay. Do you want me to talk to your sister? I'll do it if you want me to." "It's okay Austin don't worry." We went back to the bus and fell asleep in our bunks in no time.

First of all , I'm sorry this chapter was quite a bit long and boring but I kinda stopped writing for like 3 weeks because of exams and stuff. I have loads more of ideas to write. This is only the beginning of the story so please keep reading! ♥
