Men always approach me
And I guess I should be flattered
But instead I'm made insecure
Because I'm unsure what they see.
Do they see my pain?
My fears
My secrets
My soul
Do they see me?
Maybe they only see my curves
Or my smile
Or they simply get captured by the eyes
That brighten at the attention.
Do I wear my mistakes on my forehead?
Or regrets on my chest?
Tell me brave men
What drew you to my personal space
To risk your pride and my possible rejection.
Do you see royalty
Or a peasant playing dress up?
Do you wanna fix me or cause your own destruction?
What do you recognize as you make your approach?
Tell me brave men.
