The first liar I ever dated
Was also the first guy I ever loved
He taught me to doubt
Everything I'm told
And believe only what is done.
I am too understanding
Too patient
Too in love
Scratch that
Was in love.
And yet he still took any option to console the truth.
He was a magician
His best trick was saying I love you without choking
Maybe he was a comedian
Because his impersonation of love was more than funny
It killed me.
The first liar I ever dated
Taught me how to have trust issues.
I feel sorry for the next guy
He might actually love me
But the first said to doubt you.
