Chapter 8

Arina’s POV

“GET YOUR MAN HANDS OFF ME!” I yelled as some big guys with masks threw me in a cage that dangled above the ground.

“You know throwing people hurts” I stated brushing myself off and standing up. They closed the door and walked off, how lovely. I began pacing around the small space that I had, wondering and thinking of idea’s to get out. As I began thinking more, the door opened and shut quickly adding another person into my cell.

“Jasmine?” I asked.

“Arina” she said somewhat shocked.

“Where are the guys? How’s Ren?”

“They are well” she replied and that one answer frustrated me.

“Where are they?” I said more forcefully.

“I believe they are in another cell” she said like she was a robot.

We had to find a way out, the whole thing just frustrated me. If I only I knew where we were or something about our surroundings. Maybe there was a fault in the cage, or something.

“Does the name Leilani sound familiar to you?” Jasmine suddenly asked.

“Yes! What how did you know that name?” I practically shouted.

“I believe she is the one who took us” she explained.

Now I had definitely needed to find a way out. But how… I began to examine the cage. It was wooden, so perhaps I could break it with a kick or some magic. I tried kicking it but that didn’t work and honestly I was too scared to use magic because of my fear of falling. It was then I heard something going on outside the cage. A girl appeared in front of our cage and I instantly knew who she was. She had Nadina’s beautiful silver hair and Edrick’s silver eyes, and honestly she looked a lot like Nadina.

“Leilani” I said.

“How do you know my name?” she questioned, her voice holding power.

“I was actually going to look for you and I need to talk to you” I said.

“Speak now” she said.

“Okay but you’re not going to believe me” I warned “you are the heir to the elven throne.”

“You're right, I don’t believe you” she said walking away.

“Wait! Just listen to me” I yelled. She left without a single look back and I was frustrated for that.

“Well that did not work” Jasmine said.

I turned and faced her taking a deep breathe, “No? Really, thanks captain obvious.”

“I do not see you coming up with another idea” she said.

She was really frustrating me and I was mad already. Not the best combination as I felt like breaking someone.

Snap!

I turned to where the noise came from and found a part in the cage had broken. Well, thank you Jasmine for annoying me. Taking a few steps back, I did a mini run towards the door and kicked it as hard as I could. The door dropped down to the ground below us. Without looking at Jasmine I took off to find my stubborn half-sister. Jasmine can find her own way out.

Ren’s POV

“Are you sure you don’t want to-”

“NO!” Aylward and I both yelled at Sage. He kept suggesting playing games until we were set free. I was beginning to hope that the cage would drop so that way I wouldn’t have to deal with Sage.
