"You okay?"

My head snapped to the direction of the voice. Jasmine?

"What?" I said.

"You look sad, just wondering if you're okay" she said looking at the ground.

"I'm fine...thanks" I said.

"That's a nice necklace" she said sitting down next to me. I looked at my neck and there was the 'BELIEVE' necklace I found after the battle.

"Thanks" I mumbled.

"Where did you get it?" she said.

"Found it" I said.

We sat in silence in my moms old room. The room where I found she was my mom. I wanted to cry, cry for my mom and dad but no tears could form.

"The elf is looking for you" she said.

I looked at her questionably, "Aylward?"

"Yes, him"

"Well I better to then" I said getting up. I began to leave but I stopped when I thought I here her say something, it sounded like an echo.

"Darkness will fall and all will know the pain of the monster within."

"What did you say?" I said turning to look at her.

"What? Nothing" she said smiling at me.

I walked downstairs and found Aylward and Sage arguing.

"Why you ill-mannered, idiotic, doofus!"

Judging by the structure of that sentence, it was Aylward yelling.

"Who are you calling an ill-mannered idiotic doofus you pompous pig face!" Sage yelled.

"Ladies, what's the arguing about?" I asked.

"Nothing" Aylward said the same time Sage said "something."

I rolled my eyes at them, "oh you guys!"

"So what's up?" Sage asked smiling his goofy smile.

"Well I just listened to you two call each other weird names which is the highlight of my day" I said, "are we gonna head out?"

"Yes, everything is ready whenever you are" Aylward said.

"Think I might settle things out with Edrick" I said.

"Good for you!" Sage cheered and I playfully punched his arm.

Going back down to the throne room Edrick was talking to one of his servants.

"Ah Arina, you have come to apologize?" Edrick said as he saved his servant away.

"Why do you want me on the throne? Explain" I said.

"Oh Arina you know why"

I sighed, "as much as I hate to ask this, didn't you and my mom you know... Make an actual heir?"

A sad look crossed the kings and was gone just as fast.

I stared and looked at him closely, "what happened to it?"

He sighed wiping his hand over his face. "I think it was a year after you must have been born. She was pregnant again but I noticed a sad look on her face. I ignored it not even thinking of it. I guess she was thinking of you and Renfred. No matter, when it was near the time she would give birth, the castle was attacked and as the fates would have it she gave birth during the attack. Once everything was clear and we drove the attackers out, the baby was gone and I had assumed it was dead. I still suspect however Nadina knew more of our child."
