Chapter 10
Ren’s POV
It was so bright I had to close my eyes, but I soon regretted doing so when I landed on a hard surface with a thud! I began to sit up when suddenly I was knocked down by 3 bodies falling on me.
“Wow that fall wasn’t as bad as I remember” Sage said getting up.
“You’re welcome” I muttered.
“Oh whoops! Sorry” Sage said laughing.
“Is everyone here?” I asked.
“Present! And so is Leilani” Sage said looking to where Leilani was laying on the floor.
“Where’s Jasmine?” I asked.
“I don’t know” Sage said. Looking at our surrounding we looked to be in an abandoned house in the middle of nowhere.
“Hey guys” our heads turned in the direction to where the voice came from and say Jasmine standing by the door.
“Well I guess everyone is here” I said.
We soon made a small fire as it started to rain and then all just tried to warm up. The house was in pretty good condition but it seemed strange no one would want to live here.
“Where am I?” Leilani woke up and I was just hoping she wouldn’t be too upset.
“Someone in the mortal world” I said watching as she processed the information.
“Why?”
“The castle was attacked and Arina sent us here so that you may be safe” I explained. She got up and began to walk up, I sighed, she must get her stubbornness from Edrick because I do not recall Nadina being so suborn.
“I’ll go get her” Sage said running after. I shook my head, everything was so chaotic.
“Where were you when we arrived?” I asked Jasmine.
“I guess I just landed somewhere else than you” she replied. I knew better though, I knew that Arina’s portals transport everyone to the same exact stop, she’s improved so much in that one way.

Arina POV
I woke up slowly, feeling restricted, I fought to open my eyes fully to see my surroundings. When I finally became fully conscious, I tried moving around only to find my hands chained above me, I was on my knees and the room was empty all but me in the center. It was dark and I couldn’t see. I knew I was in the dungeons in the castle, I was the only one in the room which worried me. Where was Aylward?
“Ah good youre awake!” Red eyes or I guess Macardle’s voice boomed. I eyed him and he slowly stalked forward. “Perhaps you could help me with something, you see I can’t seem to find something and I believe you know it’s or I suppose whose whereabouts.”
“You got to be a little more specific than that” I said rolling my eyes.
“I believe you sent Leilani somewhere but where?”
“Leilani? Hmm doesn’t ring a bell” I said.
“You don’t? Perhaps you should think harder” he said.
“I would think harder but you see I usually think while stroking my invisible beard but my hands are tied up a little” I sarcastically said. Suddenly a hard impact sent my head flying to the side.
“Do not play games! Where is she?!” he asked.
I turned my head back slowly staring into his glowing eyes, “Get this through youère head, I. will. not. tell. you.”
