"Halona," said a soft voice, "Halona." The young girl groaned and slowly sat up. The soft green grass made her want to lay back down and sleep.
"Wha-" she stopped to face her mother. Her features similar to her own. The same long dark brown hair and big eyes. Her father had always said she was a copy of her mother. Halona wasted no time wrapping her arms around the woman, who smiled and hugged her daughter tightly.
"Mama...I missed you so much. So many things have happened." Her mother looked at her with sad eyes.
"I know, I wanted to help but there was nothing I could do. But I was there, I never left. And I'm so proud of you!" Halona wiped away a tear and smiled, then she looked around and frowned.
"Where's Father and Yaholo?" Her mother smiled.
"They've moved on, but they're still with you, they've always kept watch over you," she looked down with sad eyes.
"Mama? Are you okay?" The woman looked at her and gently touched her daughter's face.
"It's time for me to move on too. . .And I'm afraid you can't come."
"What!? Why not!? I'm dead!" Halona's mother held a finger to her lips.
"Its not your time. You have work to do." Tears ran down Halona's face.
"But...I want to go with you. I want to see father and Yaholo again."
"I know, and they miss you very much. But you'll see them one day. Just not now." Halona hugged her mother tightly.
"I don't want to go. I don't want to lose you again." Her mother held her and gently stroked her hair.
"Oh now, you never lost us. We were always with you, and we'll still be with you, even when the sun no longer shines." She gently pushed Halona back to face her.
"I know its hard, And I wish there was another way. But I need you to be strong. Be my little warrior. Do you understand me?" With tears in her eyes Halona nodded. She smiled back and kissed her forehead.
"I love you Halona. I always will."
"I love you too mother..."
"Now, its time for you to wake up."
Halona shot up from her dream. She was in a large bed, in a room with white walls and a bathroom. A desk sat in the corner along with a small chair. Then Halona realized her clothing was different.
She wore a black dress that went right above her knee with black stockings and boots. Confused, and scared, she escaped. The door was unlocked and the hallway was empty. Not knowing where to go she randomly chose to go right. The farther she walked the hallway seemed to get bigger. She could hear the voices of many people.
Two large doors stood in her way. Standing on her toes the girl saw many people dressed in black suits and dresses. They all carried a weapon of some sort. There was one man, or woman she had no idea, that beared a large machine and dressed differently than the others.
He had long red hair and coat. His teeth were sharp and he wore glasses. He kept leaning on a man and making strange faces at him.
"Ah, so you're awake." Said a somewhat familiar voice. The raspy sound of the Undertaker sent shivers down her back. Slowly she turned to face him.
"Where?" She asked. He looked at her with a confused expression.
"Where what? Oh, you mean where are you?" He asked. She nodded.
