"Ow! Undertaker!" Halona shouted. They had just begun training and Halona was already on the ground. Undertaker shook his head.
"I didn't even touch you!" Said the old man. Halona smirked and got up.
"Didn't fall for it eh?" She asked. The former reaper only laughed and took out his sword. Halona held up her weapon and blocked his attacks.
Halona had trained with Undertaker for a few weeks. During those weeks she began to feel close to the old man. Usually she would still be shy and scared by now. Although for some odd reason she felt comfortable with him.
"Not a chance my dear." Said Undertaker, letting out a small giggle. Instead of just blocking with her sword she managed the courage to attack. She used up much of her strength with each blow but it seemed to have no effect.
After a few hours they switched to hand to hand combat. She ducked, nearly missing Undertaker's punch. She spun and aimed to kick his side only for him to catch her leg mid-air and pushed her to the ground.
"Too slow." He announced, smiling real creepily as always. Halona took a deep breath and jumped back up into her fighting stance.
"Be quiet." She said. She jabbed and hooked only for each move to be blocked. Undertaker grabbed her wrists and head butted her, causing her to stagger. Undertaker then punched her right in the gut forcing her to fall back.
For an old man he moves way too fucking fast. She got on her knees and coughed up blood. Her nose was bloody along with a few bruises. Halona began to feel frustrated with herself. While she was a bloody mess Undertaker stood over her without a single scratch.
"Do you need a break?" He asked. Halona didn't want to look weak in front of him. Once was enough. So she built up all the anger she had locked away and managed to punch Undertaker on the nose. The old man fell back and gave her a surprised look. Halona held her breath and felt fear rise up.
"I-I... I'm sorry... I-" Undertaker cut her off by laughter that almost shook what was left of the building to the ground.
"That was bloody brilliant my dear! All that rage, the anger! That was amazing!" He shouted. Halona gave him a confused look.
"You're...you're not mad?" She asked. Undertaker shot up, standing above her.
"Mad? I'm bloody proud! I figured it would have taken you another month or so to strike me!" He exclaimed happily. Halona let out a huge sigh of relief.
"Um, thanks? I guess." She said. Undertaker cocked his head.
"Why on earth would you think I would be angry?" He asked. Halona looked down at her feet, not wanting to look directly at him.
"I just thought...I..." Undertaker bent down to her level.
"My dear, the whole point of this is train you to fight like me, or even better! There is no need to fear." He said. He always seemed to surprise the girl. Usually he always had a creepy smile on his face along with a giggle. This was the third time he had been serious with her. Halona nodded and put on a small smile.
"That's enough fighting for today my dear." He said. Before they left Halona cleaned up herself so she would look presentable in town. On the way back home, they passed a shop that displayed a variety of dresses. Halona's eyes widened and tugged on her mentors sleeve.
"Look! They're so pretty! Can I get one?" She asked.
"I don't think so my dear." He said. Halona pouted and begged once more. Undertaker looked at her big puppy eyes and let out a loud sigh of defeat.
