The fresh air hit her soft face as her long dark brown hair flew in the wind. The sky was a beautiful blue without a single cloud. The cool breeze felt good on her skin. They had just entered the human world from the forest. For some reason the time of day was different than at Dispatch. They walked into town and she saw many people staring at her.

"Why are they looking at me like that?" Halona asked Undertaker.

"This place doesn't get many visitors of another skin color. The only Indians we have are of India. And they have their own part of town. So no one really sees them." He said, giggling as always.

"Oh, where are we anyways?" She asked.

"You don't know? Why you've been here for two years! We're in London. Surely you remember." Undertaker said. Halona shook her head.

"I rarely went outside unless it was to tend to Abbott's garden. When I would go into town it would be at night so no one would see me. And when someone did see me he would tell them he saved me from smugglers and took me as his own child. Later on he would beat me for getting caught." Undertaker frowned.

"You have your way of ruining the mood don't you." Halona laughed.

"Sorry, I'll try not to do it again." The creepy old reaper patted her head.

"Don't be sorry my dear." He said. The sun began to set as the sky became a shade of yellow and orange. They headed into Undertaker's funeral home just as night fell. Once they entered the funeral home, Halona was surprised to see a dead body in a coffin. She was honestly surprised she was surprised in the first place.

"Who is she?" She asked, Undertaker smiled.

"Ah, that my dear is Emily wood. She died from pneumonia. So treat her well. She is our guest after all." He said giggling.

Emily wore a white dress with long sleeves, her long blond hair was braided and her pale face was as delicate as a flower, she was beautiful.

"What a shame, she was so pretty." Halona whispered. She then followed Undertaker into the back of the building into a a dark room. The lights flickered on and a desk stood in the corner and a large coffin was in the middle of the floor.

"This is your room. I hope its comfortable." Undertaker said smiling. The coffin had a soft mattress inside along with a pillow and blanket.

"Do all reapers sleep in a coffin?" She asked.

"Sadly no, but I prefer to sleep in one because I love to feel as if I'm one with my guests." He said laughing creepily. Halona was hesitant but crawled into the coffin. She was exhausted from the very eventful day. She didn't care where she slept as long as she got some rest. Undertaker slid on the lid of the coffin slowly.

"Sweet dreams." Said undertaker, giving her his creepy smile. Then the darkness devoured her and she peacefully slept.

Halona awoke to see Undertaker's smiling face. Surprised and scared she tried to punch him. Quickly he dodged and let out a howl of laughter.

"My, my, you really are tense aren't you?" He asked.

"Don't scare me like that!" She screamed. Undertaker simply smiled.

"Come now my dear, we must begin your training." Usually Halona would have been groggy and sleepily start bumping into walls, but with a scare like that she was ready for anything. The creepy old man left so she could get dressed. A black knee high dress was laid next to her coffin. It had long sleeves and cuffs. The dress had buttons placed on the torso vertically. Black stockings were placed next to the dress along with some black boots.

Not having anything else to wear she put on the dress to find it fit her perfectly. She loved how it fit every curve and they way it made her look slimmer. Black was definitely her color. Halona smiled at herself in the large mirror placed on the wall. Something she never did before. The more she stared at herself the more she could see her mother. Halona was an exact replica.

Her smile began to fade, then she noticed something she never had before. A large scar ran across her left eye.

"How did that get there?" She asked herself. Halona then remembered how she got it.

"You brat! What good are you if you keep breaking my stuff!?" Abbott screamed at her.

"Please." Halona begged. It was a month after she was sold to Abbott, she had dropped a glass vase and the old man cut his foot trying to walk while she was cleaning up.

"Useless!" Abbott screamed. He used his whip to beat her once again. "This is the tenth time I beat you this week! When will you learn!?" He picked up a piece of the broken glass.

"This should teach you!" He slashed the sharp glass across her face. Blood trickled down as she screamed in pain. The sick old man looked down at her and smiled.

"There's more where that came from." He said, while slowly unbuttoning his pants. That's why she never looked in a mirror again.

Halona was shook out of her thoughts by Undertakers voice.

"Are you ready yet?" He asked through the door.

"Uh, yeah just a minute!" She replied. Halona looked at herself once more and placed her hair to cover her left eye. Why had no one mentioned her scar? Were they afraid to offend her? She thought to herself.  Halona walked out of the room to find Undertaker waiting.

"Ah, changed your look I see. I like it!" He said giggling.

"Thank you. Shall we start?" Undertaker smiled at the girl.

"Eager are we? Great! This way my dear!" Halona followed him into another room of the home. There was a desk with pen and paper, along with a few dusty large books.

"Sit my dear." She did as she was told. Undertaker picked up a very large book and opened it to the first page.

"I want you to take notes of what I say. Okay?" Halona stared him with blank eyes.

"You don't know how to read or write eh?" He asked. Halona looked down in shame.

"I was never taught. Only how to speak." She said quietly.

"Well then, until you learn how I can't test you or give you writing assignments. I suppose I can teach you something else." Halona looked at him confused.

"What would that be?" She asked. Undertakes smiled and let out another creepy laugh.

    "Well, combat of course."

Sorry its a little short guys, didn't know what else to write. I'll try to make the next chapter longer!
