Aesthetic mood board made by me. Made for @Emberly13 with Nico. Disclaimer: Unfortunately, I'm still not too familiar with the cohorts of Camp Jupiter and how things run, so pardon me for my mistakes, if any. Your name is Aella, daughter of Neptune, and you have a few close friends in Camp Jupiter, though they aren't really popular. You always hoped to be noticed by the Seven and their close friends, but like everyone who tend to strayed from social situations, you weren't acknowledge. Always the polite smile, a nameless face in their home. But you didn't mind. You liked to stay underestimated, the lonely child of Neptune, the face of a broken promise. It helped sometimes, took off the pressure of being popular and always watched. Perseus Jackson, you're supposed half-brother didn't know you, but you knew that in due time, you'd tell him you were his younger sister. For now, you'd remain in the background, humble as always, and let people underestimate you. Besides, being a child of the Big Three, your were extremely powerful and using your powers would call unnecessary attention to you.

Slamming your book shut, you set down the pencil and pushed your glasses up your nose, stretching. A beastly yawn escaped your lungs and you quickly looked around to see if anyone was there. Phew, no one. Your eyes were starting to get blurry at staring at words and pages for too long and the words had begun swimming around. Sliding on your leather jacket and slipping on your black sneakers, you grabbed your quiver and bow. It was rather cloudy with little wind, in other, quite good weather to target practice.

You strolled along the dirt path with light steps, humming a soft tune and glancing around for anyone. There were a few campers milling about and you noticed that there was knot of people that was slowly getting larger at a certain area. There was thunderous cheering and laughter. The Seven must have been there, presumably bantering with Reyna, Nico, Coach Hedge, and all those other people. You wandered closer absentmindedly, determined to see what it was all about, but stopped a few paces away.

You felt a cold gaze on you and looked around, spotting Nico, in his brown fluffy jacket, staring at you. You offered a small smile and as more people started gathering around and pushing you back roughly, you walked away. Social situations with rowdy and obnoxious campers were not your thing, even if one of the popular people noticed you. You felt his gaze falter and you hurried your steps, glad to have the attention gone and yet somehow, strangely missing his obsidian black eyes reading you.

It was funny. How could you miss something you never had? Maybe you had a crush on him..? No, no, no. You shook the thoughts away and slowed down to face a row of trees, which marked the beginning of the forest behind. A few of your close friends were already waiting for you and they waved as you approached them. You waved back and they continued to carry on their conversation.

You nocked an arrow, and felt the tip of the arrow against your cheek as you drew the arrow back. Winking an eye shut, you inhaled, calming the natural twitch of your body. Exhaling, you released the arrow and it shot forward, impaling itself in the dead carcass of a deer about a few hundred meters away. The vultures crowding around it squawked in surprise and begun retreating. Your body moved like a well-timed machine, arm circling around your head to pull out an arrow, then moving back to ready the arrow, taking only a split second to adjust it, and then releasing it with an exhale. In a few seconds, all the vultures were done, your shooting too fast and accurate that none made it through the canopy of forests. You sighed, dropping the bow to your side. The applause from your friends made you smile though, despite having just killed innocent animals.
