OPTION 1: Find Will.

"Connor, we have to find Will!"

Connor grimaced but he didn't protest. Running into the burning cabin, you called for your brother, trying to shout over the roaring of flames. As burning debris fell around you, you raised your hand, casting a light shield over the both of you. Rounding a pillar, Connor pulled you back abruptly. Before you could curse, he clamped his hand over your mouth, signalling that something else was in the cabin too. Grabbing his hand, the both of you shimmered away from sight and you crept forward.

There he was. Will laid on the ground, groaning in pain as he tried to stand up. His face was ashen, body peppered with cuts from debris. You started forward, calling his name and calling your healing abilities to hand. They could never be as powerful as Will's, but you had to try. Then, the shadow figure sauntered leisurely through the flames and into sight. He circled Will with curiosity, as if a predator observing prey before the kill.

Your nightmare flashed in your mind, the cursed tendril passing through Will's chest and the empty glaze in his eyes as he fell. You growled, rolling up imaginary sleeves as you stomped forward. You would not let that happen. You felt Connor's fingers graze your skin as he tried to stop you, but you flung his hand away. You were going to save the both of them. Flicking your wrist, a dagger of light slipped out, crackling menacingly. The shadow figure bent down, brushing Will's blonde mess of hair out from his eyes.

"Will Solace, child of Apollo," It purred. Go to hell, you sack of wet socks. You raised the dagger to his neck, ready to bring it down.

Stop. Not now.

You heard the voice again, that tug in your gut to listen. But you were so close to ending this nightmare. As if on cue, Connor grabbed your hand, pulling you back. "It's too strong, we won't be able to defeat it. Please, we can't afford to make a mistake." Your brother coughed up blood on the floor, and he shivered under its touch.

Listen to him.

You remembered what happened when you didn't listen to the voice. When you didn't pay attention to the instinct. You relented, the dagger slipping back into the darkness, and Connor pulled you away from the shadow figure looming over Will. The nightmare replayed in your head, and with every step backwards, you wondered if you've made a mistake. Suddenly, the shadow figure stared right at you. Chills ran down your shoulder blade, the hairs on the back of your neck standing in horror. How could he see you?

"Hello, (y/n). Do you remember me?" It grinned and turned Will to face your direction.

"(Y/n)?" Will called, his eyes full of fear. In a split second, the air wrapped and reality bent around them as they vanished into thin air. The fire had already died down, and in the heavy silence, a tear slipped from your eye. At a loss for words, you sank to the floor. Connor stood motionlessly, unsure of what to do. "How could he- How could that badly-dressed Dementor-wannabe see through it?"

Go to the forest. All is not lost.

There was the stupid voice again. You were tired of it. It started all the problems, all the stupid prophecies. You stood up and sighed. It was going to be a long day. Brushing past Connor, you started for the cabin door. "Come on, I know where we need to go." Connor jogged up to you.

"You're taking it surprisingly well."

Resting your hand on the charred doorknob, you bit your lip and answered, "I've dealt with his death before." And yours. The doors couldn't muffle the low growls from outside though, and once again, you called the light daggers to hand. "Daimons, you might want to get your sword."
