A bullet tore through Leo's shoulder, throwing him forwards and the wrench clattering out of his hand.

You shoved down a scream and ordered, "κίνηση!" His bloodied body slid to the side, but more bullets pelted into the warehouse from all directions. Will dragged you onto the floor, and pulled you towards one of the pillars. Shrapnel and concrete bits flew everywhere, but Percy was already making his way towards Leo. Will grabbed your face in his hands, wiping away the hair stuck onto your sweaty forehead, and shouted, "Are you okay?" You touched them gently, and nodded firmly, yelling back, "Leo! I can feel his life force. He's still alive, but we need to help him!"

"Go! I'll cover you!" He lifted his bow and started firing, cutting down every one of his targets he laid his eyes on. Scrambling away from the pillar, Percy yanked you behind the flight of stairs, just as a bullet whizzed past you. Turning around, you focused on Will and said, "ασπίδα!" As he dashed across, releasing arrows continuously, bullets bounced off an intangible shield. Making it across safely, he wiped the sweat from his brow and panted, "We have to do something about them. We may have magical weapons but they have bullets. And lots of them. I'll hold them off, take care of Leo first."

Turning around to face Leo, Percy hovered over him, hands bloodied by pressing down on his shoulder wound. Leo wasn't moving much, even with just a bullet wound, and as you carefully rolled back his sleeve, you came to the conclusion of a poison bullet, his veins dark and wicked around the wound. You've never tried to heal someone before, Will was usually the one to do so, and trying something new was not usually advisable with a life on the line. But looking at Percy's pale and distressed face and Leo's barely breathing body, you focused your energy into your palms. Motioning for Percy to remove his hands, you pressed yours over the wound, feeling the slick blood running over your fingers. The bullet was still inside, it had to be removed to prevent further infection. "εκχύλισμα." Leo flinched as the bullet flew out of his shoulder. You murmured a gentle apology, and continued, "θεραπεύω."

Percy watched in amazement as you felt a purer, more golden sense of magic warm your fingertips and Leo's muscles and skin bond back together. Oil-black poison seeped out of his pores and you guided them to the tip of Will's arrows. Repeating the spell, daring yourself to use up a bit more energy, you put your fingertips to Leo's eyelids and they flew open. Jolting back upright, he gasped and grabbed his shoulder. "Wow," he breathed. Percy clasped your shoulder gratefully, his smile taut and eyes glossy. "It's my turn."

Sneaking behind one of the soldiers, he kicked at his knees, forcing him to the ground and chopping at his neck in one swift kick motion. Rolling out of the way of the newly-directed bullets at him, he picked up the gun with his foot and caught it in mid-air, reloading the gun and firing. More men were falling down and none were getting back up. Soon, none were left. Emerging from behind the pillar, Will limped towards the stairs to regroup, his shoulder and side grazed and dotted with blood. You tried to heal him, but he only smiled and muttered, "I'm okay."

"Let's go, before more come," Percy attempted to help Leo up, but he brushed his hand away and sprang up, striking a pose on his feet. He boasted, flicking back his hair, "I'm a strong young independent woman who just got healed to perfection by (y/n), I don't need your help mister." You chuckled but it turned into a hacking cough. Ugh, magic had terrible consequences. You felt like a floppy piece of overcooked spaghetti. Grabbing Will's hand, you tried to stand up but the floor swayed beneath you feet, and you collapsed into him. His words were muffled into inaudible noise and everything rotated in your vision. You managed to mutter a protection spell before darkness took you. "Magia Occultandi."
