Lola spent a week at Nancy's place while her flat was being remodeled. It was inconvenient Lola decided, how she would be out of her place for a week after she'd sent a time sensitive letter to George. In the rush of moving some of her things into Nancy's place, Lola had forgotten to give George the number of where she was going to be staying. All throughout that week, she couldn't help but think of George. Still, she tried to make the best out of staying with Nancy. She tried to make things like they used to be when they were growing up. A few days later, Lola gave up. Nancy was sour as a lemon. They had years of history, yes, but that didn't matter when they currently hated each other.
When Lola was finally able to return home, she collected her mail on her way upstairs. As she walked up to her flat, she noticed George had sent her a letter.
Lola,
Why don't you come to London? We'll be here shooting for the next couple of weeks.
Please come,
- g.h
Lola quickly ran up the stairs up to her flat. She took a shower, scrubbing and shaving. When she was done, she packed a small bag, and took a cab ride to the train station.

Paul asked Pattie out for George. Pattie said no. Which was good, George decided. He was still waiting for Lola. On a whim, he'd sent her a letter asking her to come. Yes, Pattie was pretty. If it were any other time, before he'd meet Lola perhaps, he would of loved to take her out.
George blew off the candle that had been burning. Except for the candle, the flat had been dark. Ringo had left to his room more than an hour ago. George could hear him snoring from the living room. He walked towards his room, turning the lamp beside his bed. He went to the restroom, washed his teeth, his face.
He heard a faint knock. He thought he'd imagined the noise, he so began to undress. He began with his shirt, beginning to unbutton it. Again, he heard a faint knock-knock. Even if his mind was making up the noise, he decided there was no way to tell except going to see where the noise was coming from. He walked towards the front door, opened it, and looked around.
"Boo." From the darkness a figure emerged.
George gasped, then gulped. Huh, so this is how he'd die.
He rubbed his eyes, once, twice. But the figure in front of him remained the same.
"Lola?"
"You gasped," Lola walked inside the flat. George made his legs move too. He closed the front door, then looked at Lola in the darkness. He couldn't deny not gasping, because he had gasped. It wasn't like he wanted to anyway, at the moment he was too pleasantly surprised to speak.
"How did you get here?" He asked. Of all the questions...that was all George could think to ask the girl.
"I flirted with the security guard," she replied. George's mouth gaped open, then closed it. Lola looked around the dark living room. She turned the light on, clasping her hands together.
"Um," George said. "Ringo is sleeping. I suppose we can hang out in my room, if you want." Down the small hallway light was spilling out from his room. Lola started walking towards his bedroom as though she knew the way. George stayed glue to his spot. "Do you want some tea?"
"I'm alright," she said. He followed her towards his bedroom. She was already inside, looking around. There wasn't much there to look at. He had a bed, a beside table, some records, and a desk. His desk was cluttered with papers and books.
Since there was no where else to sit, George sat down on the bed. Lola nodded her head once, then sat down on the bed next to him. She let herself to the bed, then let out a content sigh.
"I love the new color," George said. "Violet."
"I felt like I needed a change."
George turned to look at Lola from the corner of his eye. She was resting her head on a pillow, while hugging another. He sat awkwardly, unsure of what to do. Lola patted the pillow next to her. He laid next to her. His hand reached out to touch her hair.
"I gasped because I was surprised you came," George said. Lola rolled her eyes mockingly. A smile tugged at George's lips. "I didn't think you would. I called, and I sent a letter."
"My flat was being remolded. I was going to tell you I was staying with Nancy, but it slipped my mind. I'm here now. I came as soon as I could."
George nodded his head.
"I came here to talk to you," Lola said. George licked his lips. He let out a small sigh. He wasn't disappointed, he wasn't really sure what he'd been expecting. Maybe not this...talking. But it was nice, just talking to Lola was enough to make him happy.
"Go on, Lols."
"I'm killing that horrible nickname," she replied. She nudged his shoulder. "I know I sent that letter with that word 'everything' but I've been thinking we've been going too fast. I like you. I like you too much."
"We'll go as slow as you want to go," or as quick, George wanted to add. Lola nodded her head. She moved closer on the bed, and rested her head on George's shoulder. They stayed like that for a minute. The warmth Lola gave George, the proximity of her, it made him happy.
Lola opened her eyes. She turned to look at him. "You're too gullible."
George couldn't but help to burst into laughter. Lola shook her head disapprovingly, then kissed him. There was no rush, no being find out by Brian or one of the other boys. So when they weren't kissing, George stopped to ask questions.
Eventually, his hands made their way on her back. He tugged off her bright colored dress until it fell to the floor. He trailed kissed up her neck, to her collarbone. He unclasped her bra...and that was the first night.
