I open my eyes to the bright hotel room. I look to my side to see that Harry is sitting up straight, wide awake, and looking down at me. I can hear him watching the television in across from the bed.
"Morning" Harry greets me but my attention is on his bottom lip. As I watch it move, I notice a tiny dark bruise on the left side of it. I smile knowing that the little love bite is from all the kissing last night.
"Good morning" I say as I pull the sheets over my head and close my eyes.
"Did you have a good night sleep?" Harry's accented voice travels through the blankets and into my ear. What a lovely sound to hear in the morning.
"Mhm" I answer.
"You seem a bit tired still" I can feel Harry's smile from underneath the fabric. He rips the sheets from over my head to reveal my morning face.
"A little" I move closer to Harry and place my head on his lower stomach, near his right hip-bone.
"Well it's already 10:00am, sleeping beauty" Harry jokes and wraps an arm around me as his hand reaches down my back.
"What are we doing today?" I mumble into Harry's grey t-shirt.
"I don't know. What do you want to do today?" Harry traces the line down my spine with his fingertip.
"I want to eat" I snuggle up closer to Harry. Ever since Harry told me that he's wanted to kiss me since we were seventeen I've felt a lot closer and comfortable with him. And the whole passionate kissing last night helps too.
"So get up" Harry nudges me lightly.
"Five more minutes" I close my eyes and tie my arm tightly around Harry's stomach.
Harry sighs and groans, "Okay."
"Ten?" I suggest as I close my eyes again.
"Then I'm going to get in the shower while you take your ten minute snooze" Harry says as he starts to get up.
"No stay" I open my eyes quickly and look up towards Harry who has a satisfying grin on his face. "Stay and I'll only sleep for five more minutes."
"Fine" Harry agrees and pulls me back to his side and I drift back into slumber.
"Kat, wake up!" I open my eyes and Harry is standing over me. His hair looks damp, from a shower I'm assuming, and he changed his outfit. He is now dressed in a white v-neck with a pocket on the right side of his chest and light-washed denim shorts that reach just past his knees. It is almost strange to see Harry in anything but jeans, because that's all he usually wears. But the New York weather today is supposed to be outrageously humid.
"Wow, you sure know how to wake someone up" I say softly as Harry chuckles.
"Wake up, wake up, wake up" he travels over to his dresser and slips a few rings onto his fingers and a necklace around his neck. "Liam and Niall want to go out today to the Boathouse Downtown and then have something to eat by the river, like a picnic."
"Alright" I say and sit up in the bed. "I'm up."
"Well that's the first step, next is the shower" Harry smiles and pushes the door to the room open. "I'll get out of your way so you can shower in peace. I don't want to interrupt you again" Harry laughs at his own joke and closes the door.
I slowly move to the bathroom and start running the water for the shower. I undress from my shorts and t-shirt and leave my clothes on top of the toilet seat. I step into the warm water and I start washing out my hair that seems to be less wavy from wearing it down last night.
The water floods over my head and then my body and I can't help but remember the last time I was taking a shower in this bathroom; when I heard Harry walk in and heard him humming one of his songs and how he wouldn't answer me when I called to him.
A lot hasn't happened since that night, between Harry and I. But for some reason I feel a whole lot closer to Harry now; as if kissing last night somehow bonded us together without any verbal connections, but I guess it had. However I still want to speak with Harry, about nothing in particular, I just want to talk to him and listening to that adorable accent will just be a bonus.
I finish conditioning my hair and washing the sleepiness off of my body. I pull the curtain back and look through the foggy room to grab a towel from above the toilet. I dry my hair as best I can and then wrap the white towel around my wet body.
I push my hair away from my face and start my make-up routine. I apply a light foundation onto my already tanned face and draw thin black lines over both of my eyelids. Then I swipe mascara onto my lashes and rub a medium pink shade of lipstick over my mouth.
I walk down the hallway, back into the bedroom that was still empty. I go to my bag to pull out the outfit I had packed for today. I dress myself in tight white tank top and high-waisted light wash shorts. I drape my gold chain with a blue charm over my neck and put my white converses onto my feet.
I step outside into the living room and see Zayn and Perrie, looking ready to go but cuddled up snuggly on the couch, Niall and Vanessa are dressed and sitting at the kitchen table along with Harry, and Liam and Danielle are just walking out of the other bedroom directly across the room.
"Are we all ready?" Zayn asks us all.
"Yep" Niall says standing from the table and watching Vanessa as she rises from her seat as well.
"Morning Kat" Vanessa says as she notices me in the room.
"Morning" I reply cheerfully.
"You're a lot more chipper now that you're fully awake, huh?" Harry asks me as we walk out of the hotel suite and down the corridor.
"I'm not exactly a morning person" I tell Harry as I feel him analyzing my outfit.
He smiles down at me before directing his eyes forward, "Good to know."
