Two weeks later.
"Harry!" I wave into my laptop at the curly haired guy on the screen.
Harry had told me to Skype him when I woke up, even though it's four o'clock in the morning in Los Angeles. He's currently shirtless, lying in his shelf bed on the tour bus, with messy hair, tired eyes, and a raspy voice.
"God, I miss you" he mumbles into his phone.
"How are you?" I try to avoid the topic of missing each other because Harry seems really stuck on it.
"I'm fine, I just want to be with you" he rolls over in his bed.
"Aw Haz" I lean my head on my elbow and some of my hair falls in front of my face. "Six more weeks."
"You say that as if it's a short amount of time" he complains and his face looks concentrated on the screen, as if he's taking a good look at the dorm room setting behind me.
"Hey, cheer up buttercup" I scold him jokingly and I manage to get him to crack a small smile. "How have the shows been going?"
"Great, actually" his face starts to lighten up. "Last night the crowd was wild, we couldn't even hear ourselves talk when we were answering Twitter questions. It was mental."
I laugh, "That's crazy!"
"How's school been this week?" Harry changes the subject to me and wipes his eyes that are already a bit red.
"Annoying" I growl and lean back in my desk chair. "It's just been a lot of work to do in a short amount of time with the internship and everything."
"Oh!" He gasps as if he's just forgotten something. "How has Modest been? Are they treating you well there?"
"It's incredible, Haz. Everyone's so nice and I get to go to New York City in two weeks to help Little Mix promote their video and album!" I say with enthusiasm and lean into the webcam. "I get to see Perrie for the day."
"That's great" he hums with a wide, admiring grin.
"There's that smile" I joke with him and his mouth remains curled.
"I want you here with me" Harry adjusts the positioning of his phone and his green eyes are shining in the bright light of his phone screen.
"I'm right here" I laugh and he chuckles along with me. "I want to be with you too."
"Can't you skip class for the day and come to California?" He asks with big, green puppy dog eyes.
"I would if I could" I smile weakly. "But you know I can't."
My dorm room door swings open and Leah barges through the doors in her royal blue sundress on, and coffee cup and books in hand. She looks relieved that I'm awake, but then her eyebrows come together in confusion when she realizes I'm talking to my computer.
"Class got cancelled" she explains herself before walking to her bed, and then turning to me to take a look at exactly what I am doing.
"Is that Leah?" Harry asks and his accented voice projects through the speakers to Leah whose sitting on her lofted mattress.
A smile spreads across her face when she senses just exactly who is on the other side of the laptop screen. She hops off of her bed and leans over my desk, behind my shoulder.
"Hi Harry!" She waves into the computer and Harry is still lying in his bed, shirtless in the mess of blankets.
"Hello!" Harry perks up to greet my roommate.
Leah turns to be with a sly smirk, "I see you took my advice to start Skyping."
I nudge her with my elbow and she laughs while she retreats back to her side of the room.
