Yayyyyy! This chapter may or may not live up to your hopes. Anyways, sorry for the long wait, life has been quite busy and the stress of senior year is really weighing on me ;|

Yuzuki pranced up to her father, pulling him into a bone cracking hug. The man wheezed as she set him back in his wheelchair and turned him in the direction of the Hospital. "What were you thinking over doing it like that?" She began, a lecture would be the first conversation she would have with him while not in imminent danger since before she left the village.

"The Sharingan requires a massive amount of chakra, and while you have impressive chakra reserves you are not an Uchiha and can't handle using the Mangekyo Sharingan as well as an Uchiha can."

The lecture went on and on about how he needed to take better care of himself. "You shouldn't be ending up in the Hospital every single week-" she continued, pushing the wheelchair through the halls of the hospital. Various medical ninja and hospital staff looked on in surprise as they saw the silver headed, golden eyed kunoichi pushing the older Hatake around.

Isn't she Akatsuki?

They all were suspicious but noticed how the two ninja were carefree. They concluded that she must have been allowed back into the village.

Are we safe?

That was the number one question on their minds. They were not yet aware of the fact that joining the Akatsuki was a mission. They assumed she would just betray the village again.

Yuzuki noticed the stares, the suspicious expressions and the hate in their gazes. The girl sighed with relief when she entered Kakashi's hospital room and slid the door closed behind them.

She stopped talking when she noticed that Kakashi was utterly silent, staring off into nothing. "Hey, are you even listening to me?"

Yuzuki smacked his masked cheek rather violently, causing the man to nearly fall out of his wheelchair. "Would you be more gentle, I'm clearly injured!"

"And whose fault is that?! Yours. It's your fault!"

The man sighed in defeat, silent as she helped him out of his chair and into his bed. "What's up with you?" Asked Yuzuki, sitting at his bedside with her brows furrowed. She'd never seen him so... resigned. Kakashi gazed out the window for a moment, contemplating his words carefully. Then his one eye settled on her, sorrow within.

She knew why he was upset. How could she not? Her heart felt heavy in her chest knowing that she did this to him. Why had she ever taken the job? She had meant to protect everyone. Instead, all she did was hurt them.

"You know, having you back in my life was the greatest thing to happen to me in a long time. It was stressful but, it was ok because you're my daughter. I wasn't totally alone anymore. Then you left on that mission."

The silver-headed ninja took a deep breath, his chest shuddering, "I was fine for a little while, and then you stopped writing all of a sudden and I got worried. Jiraiya came back to the village with Naruto not too long after to tell me that you had disappeared."

Yuzuki opened her mouth to speak but Kakashi shook his head. "Then I sensed you in the village that night and you had knocked me out and left to go join the Akatsuki."

Yuzuki was silent, her mouth opening in closing while searching for words to make things better, make things right.

"But I didn't know the real purpose was to infiltrate them."

"I did." Yuzuki confessed.

"But why?"

"I wanted to protect everyone." Her lips trembled. "I didn't want them to take Naruto or hurt anyone I loved ever again."
